Don't quote me on that... i think its around there... need to check my haynes manual. It's worth getting the right range though... as torque wrenches tend to be inaccurate at the extremity of their range

Looks good enough :)

You can ask for an appraisal to be done at Tong Aik for a small fee.

hi, after purchasing the vespa, i went to tong aik to fix the bike. arghh, the aunt scolded me. she say too expensive, cause the brake not working, and a few cracks. and the head light need to change....iu unit is cracked. but i already buy it at 1.5k.

so now i am fixing the bike. any 1 can recomend me any good workshop. cheap. student here. cant afford. i think i need to service the engine oil. fix the sit nut and check the condition of the bike. anyway, is it only tong aik charge for labour just to fix the nut. they wanted to charge 15 dollar for it. and another 15 dollar to fix a rack that the seller give me. can recommend a place where i can fix the seat nut and check enigine oil where is cheap. like dun need to charge labour for every thing they do?

regards to the smoke signal light, he say the previous owners change it.

hey mad fox... Try all the shops on the wiki till you find one you like. All have their strengths and weaknesses.

I frequent Tong AIk, but that's just me. Hendra is a popular alternative choice (note that address on wiki may need updating)

You could of course just get your hands dirty... changing the oil and tigthening nuts isn't exactly diffuclt... plenty of help online.

how abt ah ju. haha. is he good. and also tong aik. service 32.50. what is it. should i do it?

:: for recommendations, go check out roda dua @ horne road (literally behind jalan besar stadium, the only workshop that opens from 5pm till 4am)

or

hendra's (@ paya lebar industrial estate, normal working hours)...

you can't miss both shops... lots of vespas outside. ::

You should ask the shop what you get in a $32.50 service... we may not be accurate...

In general this will include piston + cylinder head cleaning, carb flushing, new gear oil and a new spark plug... But ask to be sure...

Worth doing every few thousand kms... esp since the vespa doesn't have an oil filter, gear oil needs changing more frequently.

Not expensive to change... but you'll need to get the scoot to a mechanic.
