Whisky.... never leave home without an emercency supply. Never fix anything on a vespa without alcohol....

Just that I'm a little merry at the moment

hey guys, just asking.. How much is a firsthand px 200 headlight? Mines an excel. Can it be changed to px's headlight? Btw any idea where to find second hands?

-=fire gives life but to also take them away=-

Posted

If you want to change to a px headlight, you'll need a new handle bar.... Buy both top and bottom and speedo and headlight.... You should be able to find second hand at Ah Joo's place in Ubi.... New I know that a halogen headlight is around 50, the headset top around 35... the metal bottom not sure...

great info for the essential items to bring.... though i sux totally at technical wiring / welding / screwing stuff. LOL

The only spares i got on my bike is spark plugs.... :sian:

I may disagree with what you have to say, but I shall defend, to death, your right to say it.

you need to have more than spark plugs to keep your daily ride smooth...

if possible, you need those stuff that we mentioned just in case something crop up during your ride....you can save the towing fee and get it down on the spot...

For the tire change, clutch or gear cable, you can get the info online or thru looking at the mechanic when changing to pick up the skill...try it out yourself!!

for classico, it's fun to fix up your scoots urself....though i am still learning on the internal stuff thingy...

Helow guys,i dunno whether i'm posting this at the correct forum since my vespa is not a classic model...

Anyone here riding a cosa II 150?..I have a problem.A few days back i send my bike for a front end spindle replacement and fuel connection carburator.

http://www.sip-scootershop.com/pages/detai...D=19989&index=0

After i got my bike,i found out that while cruising at 5.5krpm,my speed is at 60km/h only but before sending my bike,at 5.5krpm its at 80km/h...So cosa riders..whats ur speed at 5.5krpm?...

====================================================

Alright guys, i reduced the places to the following 4.... haha

I'm definitely more interested in the 1st 2 choices; Colbar & Sunset Bar n Grill.

Simply because its more unique n slightly out of the way.... i'm a sucker for new food places :cheeky:

Well, we can plan early or mid Jan. Hopefully all of us have a scoot by then? :)

I fine with nearly all days, as long as we planned in advance. Still i think a Fri evening would be the best for everyone probably? Let's start deciding on a date k!

Un-sith: of course can come... u were once a classic rider. hah

I may disagree with what you have to say, but I shall defend, to death, your right to say it.

JBatRacer : unfortunately most of us scoots have no RPM meter so ur question is out of our league.... hopefully we have a COSA rider around that might be able to ans ur enquiry....!

Rae: I'm resigned to not going out much these days. Too wet too cold too messy. Think i be stickin to pubic transport

Good cull there planescape....

I reckon the Colbar might be a good mix of

1) quite central, nr buena vista mrt

2) Lots of parking space

3) good food

4) pretty cheap....

Food stops being served at 8pm though... might be a problem....

Other than that I'm with Gweester on Prata Cafe.

As far as the weather is concerned... whilst I dislike riding in the rain, I really can't stand taking the bus (with it being the bumpy illness infested squeeze fest that it is).....

So... It seems I'll be breaking the Pinasco kit in in nasty weather.... oh well, at least I won't be temted to go fast

All classicos, ride safe yah....

It seems the scooter gods are happy this morning.... sunny skies

The scorpion exhaust.... well...l know that SIP sell them (and will be able to provide LTA required docs) but shipping is painfully expensive.... It's be interesting to find out if shipping two would make this more economical...

Anyhow, the pipe is on hold for me... have spent rather enough on scootering recently...

The shop that always advertises in Scootering magazine, Two Wheeled Eneneering (http://www.twescootershop.co.uk) charges 200 quid for both the 150 and 200 pipes and offers free shipping within the UK....

One good tip... remember to ask for any VAT (GST) charges to be removed when ordering... in Germany its 16%, in the UK 17.5% .... alot of money!

As far as the Pinasco is concerned, yep its on the scoot.

The night before last I had tried to install it myself.... turns out that the previous owner hadn't grinded it enough, which meant that the flywheell would scrape against it!!! This took me 4-6 hours beneath my condo sheltered from the rain to find out! At about 11pm I gave up.... Called the bikebulance yesterday morning and went to TA to get it installed. 1.5 hours later (after waiting a bit) it was on.... All for a total of $70 (including $25 tow fee)....not too bad I guess....

The amount of extra torque there now is large to the point of being scary... will let rip soon.... can't wait  luckily these nicasil lined kits require hardly any break-in period (unlike stock iron kits which need 800km or so)

If you're putting a kit on people please make sure you change your jetting... JET RICH. Rich Kits Don't Seize.

Now there's a moto for the day  fingers crossed that a 130main is enough!

Reddy.... its awesome  glad I got it setup properly before installing! Now will soon reap the benefits.

Gweester is that a Scorpion 150 then? If so, I'm quite confident that LTA will approve... as long as you can give them the required documentation!

The prospect of a proper expansion chamber for our scoots just rocks!
