I may be wrong...

Front wheel bearings??

Do check the bearings out before your rim get damaged and got to replace the rim in the worst case.

A rim doesn't come cheap, from what I understand.

Just my 0.000000000000000002 cents.

Perhaps vfrT will be able to provide a more accurate and expert advice. :)

Shoot! that sounds serious... thanks for your advice.

Anyone knows why the front wheel vibates when coming to a quick stop? Definitely not ABS, cos i've felt that before... i've also just changed the fromt brake pads some months back, but haven't had this issue till now...

Comments appreciated, before i bring to the workshop... thanks!

warped disks?

I had that happen on my car once, the mechanic said i drove thru rainwater when the disks were hot... didn't make sense to me, but was still under warranty thankfully.

In the case of my bike, it's been 3 years, so maybe it's become a problem, thanks for your advice too.

Could it be a case of faulty rectifier overcharging your new battery hence shortening its lifespan?

I got a volt meter onboard, running voltage never more than 14.5v, no fuse or bulbs have ever short before.

go for ytz14s, much better (doesn't prolong your battery life though).

I had used that before, to me it doesn't matter whether I used 12 or 14, nowadays battery QC is quite bad, it will die +- 1 year anyway.

My friend has also been complaining his car battery dying per year basis.

I seriously also suspected that the "made in japan" batteries are from china parts. lol

Get a batt charger to prolong the batt life. Re-conditioned the batt. Our rectifier can never fully charge the batt unless you are riding non stop for 8-10hrs.

Even with new batt,my bike voltage will drop due to that I only ride it once or twice weekly. so every 3-6 mths,I will use a batt charger to slowly charge the batt.

Past rides are already history....

Current ride: FW VFR 800 ABS

maybe we can POOL together and rotate the charger as i also RIDE once a week for my viffer~~:cheeky:

any particular battery charger to recommend ? tks

The shops at the basement of Sim Lim Tower selling normal batt charger for less than $40. Charging the batt mai need at least 8-10 hrs at home.

Or you can find this guy, Limbat in this forum. He selling good quality batt chargers. His shop is at bedok.

I did that for my last battery, and manage to prolong its life for 2 months before it die horribly last week. Voltage at 7-8V after using battery charger.

Thats bad man. You gt do charging for the new batt before use?

Normally,i will fill the water and let it sit for 1 hr or more before closing the seal. Then put on the batt charger to fully charge it before install & use on bike.

Did not charge for the new battery.

Battery went dead somewhere at chiap lee, walk over the KS motor to buy new battery and install.

VFR Battery is MF, no need to fill water.

I think KS motor the batt prices quite good.

Your's is AGM battery that are "Factory Activated".

I using YTZ14S MF.

The battery is shipped dry along with its own pack of high-gravity acid that's added at the time of installation.Once filled with acid from its special packs, the AGM battery is virtually maintenance free.

Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) Technology is an advanced battery design used in Yuasa's Maintenance Free Batteries that eliminates water loss. Once it's filled with acid the battery is permanently sealed - so you'll never need to fill it with water or check the acid level.

After that I still charge it before use.

Think MT23 bro got change to Hel brakehose on his VFR. Can check with him. But if i didnt remember wrongly, it shld be quite expensive due to our CBS and ABS system.. Someone was telling me there's 11 brakelines on our VFRs. Can anyone verify? :cheeky:
