it used to be around 17km/l or so. after i changed meter and after somebody dropped my bike, the F.C dropped to 15 or so. and seems to get worse.

Even with the High F.C, my bike seems to back fire easily when i close throttle (meaning too lean) and the acceleration when i was at track was not smooth. the 5-6K RPM range, esp bad.

Bike went in and out Loois to have it looked by the mech liao. think w/o PC, limited things can be done to it. Kinda at my wits end.

The meter when i got it was set in miles, dunno how to change to km. but thats for trip and odometer, speedo can choose between km and miles still. One thing to check with you guys, the right button cannot do anything one rite, for the OEM meters? my last meter is like that la. the new one can convert my speedo between miles/h and km/h

U can try and re-synchronise ur injector, not necessary to put PC.

Coz for myself i reset back my pc3 to zero mapping whch i personally feel that it gain alot of power at the front and also my fuel comsumption from 220km reserve and nw 240km hit reserve......

resyncronise my injectors? i din know that can be done. How much will it cost me? Since your 929 sent to Ah Beng to do, think i might do the same, since been goin Loois so many times, but not much improvement. He keep tellin me that PC is the only solution for my bike.

During a track session you shouldn't be so low in the rev range!

It just makes it much harder to ride smoothly at low rpm. Doesn't mean you have to go faster... just shift down one gear and let the engine scream a bit. Seems odd at first but you will get used to it. If I try riding the 929 at low RPM I experience similar problems.

ok ok. will do that the next time, that kinda means use gear 1 for a lot of turns liao. hee. most turns in PG like at most also 100 +- 20 km/h (maybe i slow).

But since daily riding also gettin worse, think need to do something about it. normal riding, below 5K RPM most of the time. or maybe someone organise a trip to makan in m'sia, can help me test bike see whether i got something wrong or its my bike :cheeky:

Would certainly be nice to swap bikes and ride each others just for comparison.

My bike runs fabulously but it's a little rougher than I'd like at idle, partially due to a worn clutch cage I suspect. Very common apparently. When I have the clutch lever pulled in it's nice.

Anyway, I'm not really very fast either (esp on my 929). I feel it has too much power and it makes me REALLY nervous at PG. Really worried about highsiding it. But i do know that low RPM sucks for track. Think my suspension needs to be set correctly before my next visit on the 929.

Just bought an RS250 for PG. Race fairings and an Ohlins (2nd hand) for the 929 was gonna cost me like 1.5k and then the tyres are more expensive and more to worry about with crashing the 929. (can't stand the thought) Tyres are half the price for the RS. So the RS seemed like a smart buy for 2.5k. MUCH less worrried about lowsiding it and scratching it up. Trouble with getting older is you become more paranoid and your brass balls turn to jello. :(

The 929 with the LSL kit fitted has become my sports-tourer now.

:p

Crazy I know...

i understand wat you mean..

the 929 is the first bike i bring down to PG, the repairs and any outcome resulting from a crash will render will broke.

PG is a little small for a big bike i guess, i also wish to own a smaller bike juz for track at PG. maybe a 400 or so, but not at the moment, no money.

Nothing wrong with riding the 929 as a sports tourer, One of its kind! :thumb:

It's best to start track on a small bike like a KIPPS 150 then work up to a 250/400 and then a 600 and when you can really ride well graduate to a 900/1000cc bike.

You will see many guys on 1000cc bike being lapped by guys on 150's, 250's and 400's at PG.

I've taken my CBR150, RS125, Z1000 and CBR929 to the track. I had the most fun on the two baby bikes and those are the only two I can do proper knee scraping turns on. The two big bikes scared me. Will take the DRZ soon. I think that will be fun without being scary.

Got a long way to go before my skills are worthy of the 929.

Should have bought a 600. Dunno how the hell guys can ride these 180HP 1000cc beasts.

that kinda explains y i still yet to do/attempt any form of knee sliding.

still goin there to juz use up the sides of my tyres, i dun even have a proper suit yet, only a leather jacket. not investing in a suit as track to me is like once a few months and all.

Is the DRZ the suzuki scram thats new? that comes with normal tyres instead of knobbies? (3rd bike in the picture?)

I find that bike really really nice. like a big MTB...

Yo bro maybe u can try changing velocity stacks, exhuast w/o the catalyser, resync ur injector b4 installing PC. coz to my opinion, pc is abit redundant, and for myself i reset my pc3 back to zero maping.....

Yoz, pardon my ignorance. Wat are velocity stacks?

It seems that you are not for installing PC onto the bike, no offense. Doesn't the PC help in smoothening out the power of the bike or is the ECU of the bike more than capable liao?

i'm waiting for the price of v. stacks from unity. just installed pc3 my bike got no catalyser but my injector never resync..... getting exhaust also akra but now no stock.bike now less than 120hp rear wheel. unity SAE 1.23 not 1.01 not very accurate. they dynoed my bike 142.83 bhp which is not correct.... cause SAE not accurate.....

Velocity stacks is like the trumpet thing in the carbruetor of 400cc bikes... for injectors it looks mre straight rather then trumpet, u can buy shorter stacks whch gives u faster air intake.....

For PC frankly speaking alot ppl says its for long distances then u will feel the difference.... and also top end bhp usually causes front end bhp nt tat powerful its becoz everything got its balances.....

And also in s'pore road u would really prefer to have a better pickup also rather top end, b4 u hit mid range already another traffic light.....

And 1 mre thing is that when u set ur PC to top end uses, ur fuel consumption will be quite high when u try to ride ur bike in low range whereas when u ride ur bike in mid to high range u will feel tat it consume lesser, funny isnt it?

Actually u guyz can try PC out and use dyno to tune it..... If u got laptop or live in 1st storey u can reset to zero mapping anytime.....

Resync is nt necessary if u juz got a 1st hand bike.....

But other then tat, maybe u can try resync coz it makes a difference......

Its juz like carbruetor tunning.......

For injector its call resynchronize the injectors......
