Now...my mechanic had permanently set the flap to fully open position despite the blinking of the red LED. So by setting it fully open got any harm?? I ask my mechanic...he say it's ok.

haha... it's fine if you don't mind losing low end power.

You think Honda engineers spent ages developing these things so that some uneducated mechanic can decide it's not necessary because they don't totally understand it?

Sure there can be situations where it's better to just make the airflow into a bike less restricted but it's usually for race only use where you're at MAX RPM nearly all the time.

I'm wondering where all you guys service your bikes.

Mine is due for a tuneup and I'm considering a valve adjustment (or atleast check) and maybe injector sync.

Although my current mech is good for most things (tyre changing, oil changes, basic servicing, brakes etc) I'm thinking it would be good to try someone else for the tuning.

I'm hoping to find someone who's an expert with 929's and 954's.

where you stay at? I stay in the east, always send my bike to Loois for engine stuff, synced my injectors over at bikeworkz, they are not bad too.

Living in Woodlands, working in Yishun.

My regular mechanic is at Eunos very close to Paya Lebar MRT.

How much did they charge for the sync?

I believe this process is the equivalent (for EFi bike) of carby balancing.

Recently I've been riding my bike daily. Gotta say that the LSL kit has proved a life (back) saver. So much more comfortable and easy to ride.

Haven sell yet, seems like nobody interested with my 929.

Axxis, the rates for injection sync is about 60 if i remember correctly.

They are located in Ubi.

Level of interest is always relative to price.

However, I feel that if the price is too low it's better to keep the bike as there's not much in the way of an equivalent bike that you can get for a similar price. Still feel the 929 is about the best value modern sportsbike available in Singapore. Old GSXR 750's also but the trouble is most of those have been thrashed (or crashed) to death.

I can't stand to part with mine at the moment because there's nothing else that I can buy (afford) that I will like as much and ever since I put the LSL kit on it it's been a pure joy to ride.

thats true also.

I not in a rush to sell my bike, not tied by financial means.

Wanna downgrade and try other bikes for daily transport, only ridden 4 bikes so far. No point undercutting myself to do that.

The bike is great to own. maybe overkill to use as daily transport only.

Hi guys..Got a question to ask..Was riding on the expressway today and suddenly the red LED light comes on and the FI word comes out..what does that mean?My fuel injector something wrong or what?I was like why the hell suddenly like that...Need your advice..Thanks..

I experianced this before as well.

Think its just some electronic glitch. While riding half way it appeared, but handling of the bike seems ok right? The next time it appears, count the number of red blinks then it will tell you which part of the bike needs attention. For my case it was the airbox connection got lose or maybe a dry joint. Got it checked and rectified by my regular mechanic.

Yup handling of bike is ok..But the thing is the red light doesn't blink..It stays on and so does the FI word..Hmm...Any idea??

Yep, pretty true.

Just got my XR2 and now I'm riding that as daily transport. It replaces both the CBR150 and DRZ400 and saves me from riding the 929 daily. For the short period I was riding it daily I found that I was getting faster and faster each day as I become more and more comfortable with the bike. Scarey!

I've gotta admit I'm glad to have it sitting downstairs waiting for weekends now.

:cheeky:

Althought the one thing I can say after riding it daily for that period was that the LSL kit was the single best investment I made for that bike. It's really awesome. Makes it almost as comfortable as a super 4 but with all the power and handling of a superbike.
