what ur mech said is true. whether your floating needle or not is worn

out or not we don't know as we are not there to compare. u can compare the

cone shape with a new one u shld be able to see the difference. as the cone

doesn't settle nicely most likely fuel is able to sip thru and thus "wasted"

you've washed your carb and changed the pins already right?

i think now is to monitor your FC then see if the money spent is justified loh..

FC should improve..

If really you have not change your float needle... dont waste $$ ask to change the needle charge you labour cost.

he must justify the labour cost to fuel savings if he changing them next time..

say labour only - $60

1L of fuel at $2.. savings per tank - abt $6 (based on his mileage for 15L is 260, norm is 320)

so it's abt 10 full tanks(150L) or say 2600KMs..

when would be the next carb servicing? 10k KMs or more?

then again it's up to individual..

maybe go back to the same shop again just to change the needles and they will charge less or 0 labour??

wash don wash upz to individual... some ppl will never like to touch any part of the engine if nothing wrong.

eg.. before the bike handed to me from my brother he never service engine even carb for 8 yrs. He only make sure EO oil , Oil filter, air filter regular maintenence change. bike run strong and no leak, believe it. when handed over to me 4 yrs ago me oso never touch the engine... only recently yr then i started to give the bike a new heart
