Q: what you want them to inspect for?

A: Hope the pipe will pass.

Pipe made without a brand or company name = custom made.

Does anyone still dont understand wad am i talking about?

Does anyone know if the pipe is custom made, no documents & foreign certificates can go down do Aftermarket Exhaust Inspection? Will they proceed?

Hallo xvaiox,

Well ofcourse you can proceed but i can't gurantee you a pass for your customs.

I can say that the Custom made Exhaust will surely fail in SGP, well i can say that they do check for operation of the catalyser emissions/decibel unless you know the ways of the dark side.

Therse are the requirements to at least give you 50/50 chance to pass :

1) Approval of a street legal cert from a vendor is a must..(without it NPNT)

2) If your exhaust looks like a stock, but the decibel ratings / emissions is way off

(Also NPNT) it will definitely fail.

They will ask you to send to your preferred bikeshop to get it fixed.I have experienced the same problem before.

Goodluck on you mission Bro !!

This one no need to try. Confirm fail. And before you bring it down for inspection, you need to submit the neccessary documents to the LTA,

1) Cert to prove this exhaust confirm to all those international standard like Euro standard and must be tested by recgonised institute only. So far there is no such institute in Singapore.

2) Cert to show the certain sound level DB at certain rpm. This must also be tested by recgonised institute only.

3) Drawings to show the breakdown of the exhaust

4) Commercial invoice to show that this is purchased and NOT stolen

It only with these documents, you can submit to LTA with a fee of $50 for their checking and and registration of the exhaust in their system. Only after they approve and recorded in their system, then you can go to vicom for inspection. And you still have to draft a letter of inspection to show vicom to proceed with the inspection.

So if you don't have the neccessary documents to submit to LTA for approval, you can save the trip down to vicom.

You can actually buy a St Legal exhaust online (EBAY) with the proper paperworks and have it approve yourselves. But make sure they have all the neccessary paperworks. My friend tried before and almost got it except he is missing the sound level cert which no one can supply him. Unless he go through the local agent which they charge a high price which makes it LPPL.

if you fail your pipe inspection, means your money flushed down the drain? if you go back after repacking the pipe ( im using a street legal model) but previous owner cut away some packing), need to pay to inspect again?

how much is pipe inspection now? i read online, some people say 78 dollars. unique motors quoted me 55.

Hi all,

Just wondering, i got my Super 4 afew weeks ago and it came with the Yoshi Full System. But the ex owner lost his Yoshi cert so LL i went to motorworld to get it. After getting the certs from Motorworld, what should i do? Go for inspection? Where to go to, isit at LTA?

Secondly, my bike is also due for inspection soon, can i do both the exhaust inspection and the annual inspection of bike at the same time?

Hi guys, when you say 'certificates', what exactly do you mean? My exhaust (from eBay) came with photocopies of the emissions and sound level papers. But they don't look like original certificates. Think the LTA will accept?

you can go to any inspection centre. regarding your fender eliminator, for me i did not fix back the original and had no issue during the inspection. as long as when he take pic of your exhaust from the back, your number plate can be seen clearly it shouldn't pose as a problem. im also riding an r6 but i went to STA.

i think i better go to vicom at sin ming since they know more,to save hassle in case other inspection center officer know nuts make u run here and there.regarding the fender i wont fix it back.

vicom or sta, both the same la bro. they know what the doing. depends which one nearer your house. no point go until sin ming when you don't stay nearby..

i stay at amk so sin ming is very near...i only worried vicom sin ming a lot of ppl

Actually there is one inspection centre at the bus depot near the old ssdc.

Hi all,

I know that the query I am gonna make may not be related to this thread but I have no choice. Anyone knows of any vendors selling after market exhaust for Japanese choppers.
