wah.. so gd u guys fc. mine 240-250 blink blink oredy. but alot start stop traffic la. If lot of eway riding can get 270-280 then enter reserve.

when stop at traffic light and i know it will be long, i will off my engine. but i not sure if it really helps to save petrol because i cannot really tell. been doing that for awhile already. put to gear one then off, so dun need to apply brake, just sit down and wait out the traffic. haha

I see! so i guess that for Revo the FC is about 240 - 280. Not bad though. I thought there's some prob with mine. hehehe

if i am not wrong, the older specs FC are better than our Revo.

how to tell if the sparkplugs are due for replacement other than judging from mileage?

My bike will feel less responsive and a bit sluggish. Also my idle fluctuates more than usual.

I heard about that too. I also heard that revo pick up is a little much better due to Fuel Injection? true?

Not bad eh. The recent top up i clock 300km before enterting reserve. Speed is always within 80-100km/h.

i haven really rode other specs recent enough to compare with my revo now, but i dont feel my revo pick up is that awesome, everything stock.

FC depends on the different petrol used, which did u use to clock 300 before reserve? i clock that on average too, on spc98, higher if on caltex 98 and i feel that it definitely would somehow be higher given that i paid more for the caltex 98 huh? if you pay the same for the different petrol and one gives better milage of course i will pump the better one right? if you get what i mean. pay peanuts get peanuts.. gt extra cash and time/pass by caltex then i go pump caltex, got alot of extra i pump vpower which i find very smooth, smoothes in my opinion. mileage wise not very impressive around that of caltex 98 but i have only pump it like less than 5 times, so still quite hard to really judge.

I clock about 300 to 305 before it hits reserve normally, unless I happen to crank up the speed during my travels. I normally clock between 100km to 400km a day (no I am not a despatch rider) and I pump at Caltex, with FuelSave95 for 2 reasons. One, it's next to my car park, and two, I have 11% discount :D

I've been contemplating riding till my bike total depletes the petrol, but I think not lah. Have heard of people hitting 400km before top up. Anyone can verify this?

Ride : Honda S4 Revo FBC plate (12th July 08 - Present)

I'm using Esso F1 (Malaysia RON97). Even after oil change also it stil has that same symptoms. So its the plugs that need changing.

recommend u to do run in on expressway within speed limits late at night, when there's lesser traffic so u can do yr run in safely and in a more efficient way.google it for more details on the difference in hard, soft and medium run-in. its rather personal

I stay CCK. Always go by 2nd Link. For Revo try not to run dry cos you're using fuel pump to feed petrol to your FI. For non FI CB400, when I run out of petrol, I will stop and lean the bike as low as I can to the left to let the petrol feed to the diaphragm valve. Then can ride for about another 2-3km to petrol station.

try changing to a bigger sprocket, i'm using afam sprocket with 46 teeth can clock 350km. singapore have to much traffic light so its a stop and go waste a lot of petrol when pick up when using smaller sprocket need to accelerate more. bigger sprocket accelerate less but pick up strong. smaller sprocket is much suitable for long distance travel, you don't down shift that often and your engine less vibration when travelling at high speed.

bigger rear or smaller front sproc for pick up.

smaller rear or bigger front for top end/expressway cruising.

Changing rear sproc is better cos front sproc affects alot
