Err.. First Hand revo riders, usually u ppl change the stock tyre or use until

Wear till need to replace?

Any feedback on stok tyre?

Don't have to change tires immediately. I feel ok with them. Not too bad. Use until no more thread then change another brand different compound.

Yes you are right, lithium tends to be more sensitive than lead acid.

However, both battery technology uses CC/CV (Constant current/constant voltage) charging.

For VRLA (Valve regulated lead acid) battery, charge is at (usually) 1 Amp constant current till 14.4V (max), then constant voltage at 14.4V until current drops to very low level.

For Lithium Nanophosphate technology, 4 cells in series is what we need. The full charge voltage happens to be exactly the same, 14.4V. That is what makes batteries like Ballistic, Full Spectrum Power etc able to be used in our applications. These are also much more stable than the Lithium-Ion-Polymer technology used in handphones and laptops.

Why are they "more stable"? Because the chemicals inside are less reactive than those in Lithium Ion Polymer cells. What does this mean? For the same capacity, they are heavier than Lithium Ion Polymer.

I can show you a Lithium Ion Polymer cell that has the same capacity/voltage as a 8 cell Lithium Nanophosphate cell. It's only 200g, instead of 650g. But those are too unstable to be used in our applications.

Again, I've been using them in my own bike for about 3 months already, including riding in track conditions (PG / Sepang), heavy rain, hot sun etc.

I am my own guinea pig, test rider, whatever you call it. I won't sell something that will cause myself to get sued for sure!

:)

Hi Cypher,

Is it true that Lithium batteries are known to fail abruptly and unexpectedly without prior symptoms or warning? This is especially so when the life of the battery is near the end. Sorry, I don't mean to talk bad about your batteries, but just needed more assurance.

Also, what is the CCA (Cold Cranking Amperes) for your Lithium batteries?

@Winners Better to use the "mention" feature on the forum when asking a specific member. The member will then get a notification on logging in. Faster response... :)

Good afternoon guys,

Not sure if this is the right place to post this qns but here it goes,

What do you guys use to clean your bikes rims? Esp the back one. Cause It's been a while I last washed my bike due to the rainy season, So the back wheel is really filthy. I used the "lemon degreaser" but not very effective I would say.

Thank you for your inputs guys... :D

When I bought my 2nd hand bike, it was very dirty. Normal bike shampoo couldn't get the job done.

I then used Muc-off (from Motoworld) to wash whole bike properly. Best wash I've ever used.

The wheels still had some stubborn brake dust + oil stains. These came off with Meguair's metal polish. :thumb:

I meant shift light indicator... The one that blinks telling you to shift to the next higher gear...

Motoworld or Unique. GiPro is best. Met another S4 rider who fitted a lesser brand. He had to go back and change it 3 times!!! :)

Edit: Sorry, I'm referring to Gear Position Indicators. I'm not sure of Shift Indicators, the function of which is to indicate optimum RPM for gear shifts based on a pre-determined mapping.

IMHO, Shift Indicators are only useful for racing professionals who have the technology to support mapping changes when riding at different tracks. For most of us who ride on the road and perhaps the occasional track day, the best Shift Indicator is the low tech rider who knows his bike and has the patience to learn good riding skills.

Can try Accumen gear indicator and volt meter. Both are togoether in a same console. I'm using that. So far no complains.:thumb:

Use WD40 or GT85 to wipe the rims clean

Hi guys. There are a few things i wish to do to my bike when i first get it. Early stages i won't do anything major but please add in any suggestions as to what i could do. I'm looking for better fuel consumption and a smoother ride but at the same time not willing to give up on power n torque.

1. Dynojet run in

2. Revtec

3. Raceshield

4. Broquet ( Does this thing actually work? I'm getting mixed reviews )

5. K&N air filter ( need to retune? If yes, need power commander, i will put this on hold. )

6. Belly pan

7. Engine brace

Can anyone advise me, estimate how much i should set aside for these few items. Thanks!
