That's why I just came back from jb. One full tank around rm30!

Realize after oiling the chain the bike runs at much cooler temperature and smoother pickup. Regular chain oiling is important.

Haha. I was thinking want to put mainstand next time just for the ease of lubing the chains. For those with no mainstands! How do u all lube ur chain? And Do u guys wash ur chains? :p

Recommend u Scott Oiler V system.... I am using it now. Damn efficient. No need worry about lubing bike. The oiler will auto oil ur bike according to ur speed and distant. Highly recommended.

Everyone had diff experience with Lube. Try listen to those that had used before. Me and my friends all liked it very much and had no complaint so far.

U can check with LTA bro=) or bike shop..

If it is really true, Motoworld/Unique and lots more shops would have said something or updated their sales pages. Anw what does our full systems have to do with the Ferrari accident? No link isnt it?

@ramsnake, this time Sept 15th to KL & Ipoh, whats the purpose? Hope to join ur group, but provided nvr clash with my working schedule.

As usual, every year i will ride up North to Sepang International Circuit to watch the MotoGp, hope we can have a Revorian Convoy too. :thumb:

@muhammad hakim Sorry for the late reply.

The 15 Sept ride is in aid of breast cancer patients and survivors. More info on Facebook. Please do Like the page and help spread the word. Thanks!

bro @ramsnakeHow much u bought the pocket tire plugger at MotoWorld? But it looks complicated to me. Mine I bought the traditional worm type. So far so good :thumb: Bought the tire repair kit at Simpang Bedok so called DIY shop for abt $12. Inside got 2 item and including 5 worms. Till now used only one worm, the rest all put under my seat with the 2 tools. Everywhere i go, This is the emergency tire kit to me.

I think it was about $25. Do call Motoworld to confirm. It looks complicated but is easier to use than the "worm" kit. Comes with laminated instruction cards.

Yea it's one petrol hungry machine.

But still need to get used to it before I upgrade to cls2 bikes. Ahhh need pump petrol again.

Sounds like i will have a hard time getting used to the FC next time lol. My pulsar can give me ard 48km/liter. Lolll. So gay

@killjou & @StrongBow

Welcome to the higher capacity bikes world! The Revo is not "petrol hungry". In fact it is one of the more fuel efficient bikes in the market for it's class. The consumption numbers are the norm for class 2A & class 2 bikes. In fact many other bikes in these categories consume more petrol.

It is also a fact that the higher your speed/RPM you ride at, the higher the fuel consumption is. On my flat-out-long-distance rides, I'm only getting about 13.8km/L in some sections.

Haha. I was thinking want to put mainstand next time just for the ease of lubing the chains. For those with no mainstands! How do u all lube ur chain? And Do u guys wash ur chains? :p

I'm using an Easy Stand which lifts the right side of the bike a few cm so the rear wheel can be turned while lubricating the chain. It is light, compact and portable.

Recommend u Scott Oiler V system.... I am using it now. Damn efficient. No need worry about lubing bike. The oiler will auto oil ur bike according to ur speed and distant. Highly recommended.

Scottoiler is good too! The Easy Stand will still come in handy for cleaning the chain and wheels. Search the Garage Sale or CMO section for one.

Hmmm Where did u get it from? Might consider getting one next time. Do u still need to clean ur chain after using that? Have any webpages where i can read up more about it? :)

Ramsnake : yea the easystand is the super portable one right. Seems like a good buy to me too! But if too much weight on side stand will spoil or not ah. My friend sit on my pulsar while it's on side stand. Now my bike when on side stand like leaning very low. Lol

Nope. Scott oiler is solvent based. Oil based lube usually will result in a lots of dirts and pebbles sticking to the chain.

I got it at Unique. However, quite a lot of places selling. Eg, K T Accessory.

The main dealer that is bringing in this is motoworld. Though my experience is the price is almost fixed at all location. (u might be able to bargain down. i fail though)

Check out CMO for alternate cheaper version. I never tested it so i dunno.

Alternatively, I know Pulsar group got quite a number of ppl DIY their own oiler. Total cost is only less than 10% of the price of a scott oiler.

Nope. Revo stands are made of stronger stuff :thumb:

i can vouch for the efficiency of the scottoiler. I picked up a good conditioned one for 60 dollars. Never had to worry about chain lubing. However, periodic chain cleaning is still required though. Had it for 6 months. Didnt have to tighten my chain at all.

But, remember to check the flowrate. cuz if i turn it too high, the next morning got a pile of goo near my side stand.

All in all, it's one of a necessity........(for lazy people though)! Haha!

bros, the scottoiler your all switch it to the most minimum flows or the maximum flows?

Bro,

Normally in sg i always turn to minimum flow rate. Only when i go on long trip then i will adjust the flow rate to be around 3/4 mark.

I never adjust to max before. cos i find it un-necessary. As the faster we travel, the faster the oil will flow to the chain anyway.

Bro,

I am going to the S4 outing later. If u want u can drop by and i will show u the scott oiler. No worries as i used to ride a pulsar too... Ur pulsar should be faster or same speed as my revo. (the rider not the bike problem :) )

it is controlled via bike air intake... once u off engine the oil will stop.
