Haha... Maybe ... i guess this topic will not end cos different people also have different thinking...

My advise is we all riders have to take a good care for our chain and sprocket and lubricate it as required for longevity...

For my self i change my sprocket around once a year cos my mileage is around 100K for a year ...

100k mileage one year tts alot!

100k!!

Once a year sounds about right for your mileage. Good for you! :thumb:

Wah!!!!! Once a yr??? U bloody rich man..... Hahahaha

It's not about being rich or not, @tzmdegil. At his levels of mileage, that's the maintenance required. Never wait till consumable/wear and tear parts actually die on you before replacing the parts. Prevention is better than cure.

Come, come, let's talk mileage and chain replacement schedule. What's your mileage/year and when would you change the chain/sprockets set? :)

Be wary of the source of information for your bike's maintenance. Some FAQs are compiled by people who lack the technical know how.

Good evening/ morning guys....

Recently my revo has this interesting problem. My headlight does not turn on immediately when I switch on the bike, which by right is supposed to. I do not have any switches installed to control it. After I push the start button, about 3 to 4 mins(timing varies) the headlight turns on. What I can rule out is that there isn't any problem with the bulb nor connection as I've made sure by opening up and sitting the bulb firmly.

I'm just curious to what may be the issue as can it be due to magnetic coil, rectifier or battery? Or anything else that might be affecting it. As the time for me to send for inspection is very near, I'm a bit worried as bikes shops may just change the bulb to "solve the problem" and it's hard for me to demo to them that the bulb does turn on after a few revs...

Thanks in advanced and ride safe ;D

P.S. high beam works fine. That's what I use if the low beam is having "mood swings"

Your starter switch (the pushbutton which you use to crank the engine) may be faulty. This switch also serves to cut-out the headlight during the cranking operation.

Bro... try to switch on the high beam switch and start yr bike if it`s working fine means wiring harness is fine and yr bulb low beam filament wire going to spoilt. Usually H4 Bulbs thens to gets heat up before it emits lights i guess yr low beam is going to fused ...

If u are able to Start yr bike i guess yr bike is still working fine . Example . magnetic coil, rectifier or battery

But do check yr battery charging status "Voltage" by using MultiMeter ...

Hope it helps ... :thumb:

yes, i am purchasing first hand. you went on loan or full cash? if you're loaning; how many years of loan and how much you down pay?

I think what you mentioned is the cause. If I turn on using high beam on... After warming the bike up for a couple of mins, I switch to low beam and it works... At least for a while. So I guess the bulb needs replacement soon... Hmmm...

Thank you and ride safe... :D

Most prob is the ignition switch. I kena once b4. Low beam light cannot on despite starting the bike and only can use high beam. Took it to the mechanic and eventually found that the problem is with the ignition switch.

Have to change the whole switch which cost me abt 100+ bucks

yeala bro. =( seems like s4 selling like hot cakes. they have no intention of bringing the price down. if only class 2a got other decent competitor bikes, maybe price wont be the same anymore. hahaha.
