hey guys, anybody know what the difference between hypersports and sport touring for tyres? i try google but cannot find anything.

Where did you get the name hypersports from. Refer to tyre manufacturer's site for definition.

Sports Touring is as the name suggests, a sporty version of road tyres. Expect good wet and dry grip with good mileage life span (mid wear rate).

If I were to guess, hypersports is just a fancy name for sports tyres i.e. for track and fast road use. Wear out faster than Sports Touring.

Bike Magazine (UK) has a page on all the tyres available in the UK. It's a good reference.

The Aug issue of Fast Bikes included a review of 28 sets of tyres.

I have found these to sources to be very informative and reliable.

@736cc

Pardon my ignorance but what are you selling? I can't determine what they are from your pics. :)

Basically M5 is a Sports tyre. See my definition in previous post. Manufacturers/dealers like to use fancy names to describe tyres as marketing ploy.

Sports Tyres:

M5

Bridgestone Battlax 003

Pirelli Diablo Super Corsa

Michelin Power Pure

Sports Touring

Z5/Z8

Bridgestone Battlax 023

Bridgestone Battlax S20

Michelin Pilot Road 3

Road (Not very sporty, hard wear rate - last very long with less grip)

Pirelli Angel

+ quite a few more

Google "tyre rating" for reference to max speed tolerance of the tyres. Also google "(tyre model) review" for info on those tyres you shortlist.

Anyone selling off their Full system after market exhausts for Honda Revo? Keen buyer , ready cash... What's app me at 93386004.....

Bro, you've been asking on this thread so many times already. I have also posted your enquiry with your number on another forum. If you haven't got a response that means no one is selling.

Why don't you ask Motoworld to indent Yoshi FS for you?

Thanks for your update. Already replied your PM with regards to bike shop.

1) When the 2nd mech did the valve clearance, did he do a compression test on your engine? If you're not sure, do call him to ask them to confirm because this is something you need to know when talking to my mech.

2) Has any mech check your magnet coil? When last replaced? Also need to know since you have changed the rectifier and is still having voltage fluctuation issues.

Hi there,

No compression test done as confirmed with the mech... how is a compression test done? magnet coil will be checked this saturday with a regular mech i go to.. yes after changing rectifier sometimes voltage drops when stop at traffic light or bike is tilted towards the right...

thanks...

Eh, bro... go to one good mech and have him/her look after your bike. You will just end up spending more money by hopping from one mech to another. Just my 2 cents. :)

Hi, any1 knws how much ah pek charge to do grounding for revo???

I did it a year ago for $75 and I did the grounding for only two reasons: just got a bike and wanted to spend money on it and all those raving positive remarks about the good effects on performance. If I were to turn the clock, I wouldn't have it done.

My bike was only 3 years old with 60+k km on the clocks. After the job was done, I didn't feel any difference. I have now put on another 20+k km and two of those points came loose (wires broken from connector). This happened in the last 7k km. I didn't have the time to repair them myself nor send it back. Again, I don't feel any difference.

My conclusion is that all those forum members who rave about grounding probably own bikes which wiring harness has deteriorated either from age or bad cutting/splicing for adding gadgets. These deteriorated wires then loose electricity somewhere along the harness. When the grounding is done, the open loop is closed again, thus restoring performance.
