Hi guys, anybody experience a check engine light which blinking. My revo is 08 model n recently replaced TPS sensor due to faulty TPS sensor which cost $180. After replacing TPS, before starting up e bike,i will get a blinking check engine light that which i counted blink for 8 times n stop n will continue to blink again. When i start e engine, rpm will idle as if e engine wanna stalled and i also had a jerky engine while slow riding at lower gear. Higher gear seems normal.Went to unique motorsport to get it check but mechanic juz adjust e tps and told me revo TPS always prob n tuning cannot be accurate. If want accurate change e whole TB.wtf!! Ask e salesperson whether they have diagnostic tools to scan the blinking check engine light but it was not done. Any revo owner experience this? Thankz

Racewerks can set tps.. By setting means they jus recalibrate ur tps and see whether they are in sync when u open throttle.. I've check mine there for 40bux .. Regarding the blinking light, i'm not too sure. Might be ur fuel pump or anyting.. Can try swap fuel tank with ur frends riding revo.. But best is to see bike shop.. I'll always go to planet motor for bike troubleshooting..

Wondering if Boon Siew going to bring in the new 2014 Revo?

I'm in a dilemma choosing between this new Revo and the 400X.

Despite I'm getting mixed feedbacks regarding the heat emitting from the fuel tank and being more expensive, my heart goes for the Revo and its predecessors since it has a proven records for the past many years. It has all I have hoped for in the previous Revo version; the gear indicator and ABS. However, the only 1 thing that I will replace is that new round side mirrors with the rectangular shaped if I decides to go for it.

On the other hand, the 400X has a balance between power and fuel economy, more so it is cheaper then the Revo.

Any feedback on the heat issue with the new Revo riders?

8 flashes relates to TPS sensor fault, if this has been changed maybe clearing the DTC (Diagnostics trouble code) will stop the flashing. Special Honda tool SCS connector 070PZ-ZY30100 is required so go back to your service agent. They can read about it on page 6-14 of the Service Manual.

Hey guys just got my revo today. Still getting used to the bike. Hehe, oh and I would like to ask, what's the normal voltage when riding?

14.4V is optimum, my bike runs at 13.9-14.0V. This would be closer to 14.4V if the headlight was able to be turned off. I added one of those cheap Chinese voltmeters off AliExpress ty-rapped to the lefthand instrument bracket. It is accurate to within 0.1V - very good!

Because while riding mine is at only 13.3, what could be the issue?

Are you sure your voltmeter is accurate? Where are the measurements being taken from, further away from the battery = less volts. Try charging the battery for a few hours.

Okok i will try that. Oh and one more thing, if my gear shifting is very rough, what could be the problem? clutch cable?

most of the time increasing the tension of the clutch would do.

Okay, I will try to get it adjusted. Because this problem is irritating, and when I'm changing gear from 1-2-3 it gives of a clacking sound which normally would only hear when shifting from neutral to 1

the clacking sound can also happen if you drag gear during low gear. i usually change gear at 5k rpm and there's no sound but when i rev to 6k rpm and above there will be this clacking sound.

Actually when I shift gear at that rpm or lower also will have the sound. Don't know what is the exact problem. Maybe gotta to head to a mech and have it checked.

So you turn on ignition hiss light still on? If on, means your hiss is not disabled, still can crank, just cannot start. You try and on off your engine afew times and try. Probably your key mapping went wrong, was your key duplicated?
