Hi!

My friend rides a CB400 Revo ABS. I would like to ask a question.

Does the yellow ABS warning light remain on till you move off, on the Revo's display panel?

His light remains on till he moves off.

He was told that his ABS could be malfunctioning. He tried "jamming" the rear brake but no lockup occurred.

Any ideas?

Comes on when the ignition switch is turned ON. Goes off when your speed reaches

approximately 10 km/h (6 mph).

Hi guys, what is the difference in Full Service and Overhaul for Revo? And how much does it cost normally for the respective types?

if your full servicing refers to servicing of bike (if can also mean servicing of engine which will be the same as overhaul), it normally includes engine oil, oil filter and spark plugs. cost depends on what type of engine oil and spark plugs you use. range from 100-180

overhaul is opening up of your engine. a simple overhaul can easily cost 300. additional costs usually depends on what is required to be changed in the engine. for overhaul it usually takes 3-5days and is recommended to only do overhaul at trusted shops to prevent yourself from being chopped off.

old birds out there, if i am wrong please correct me :D

Just to add and for info. The lowest overhaul level is usually a top head overhaul and usually run into the range of $450 to almost $2000 at least. Yes..most mototiam would tell u to "have to change this and that" while the parts and components shows wear which u need not to change but they say it's better to..that's how the cost are usually escalated. Reason they say is that since it's been open up..it's better to do it now otherwise later open up again..got to change the gasket and whatever..just my 2 cents.

Hi bro,

Servicing refers to your normal engine oil change, spark plugs, coolant, air filter, battery check, wiring, bulbs, signals, brake pumps, brake oils, tire pressure etc.

Overhaul refers to change of worn out both external and internal parts into new ones. From pistons, block heads, cams, rings, gaskets etc. A proper engine overhaul means stripping off your engine components and replacing them especially those worn out ones or potential damages/ wear and tear.

Based on what you mentioned, your con rod and its gears/pinions might have worn out. It would be exact if you put your bike on idle and just clutch in ONLY. If there is a two tones of engine sound, then its very high chance of your con rod issues, pistons and cams.

Hi rider. Im riding e revo.. Coolent leak and come out frm tube below. Any advice

since you know where it is leaking see if it is damaged. if damaged change it. if not damaged just tighten it if possible (by tightening the hose clamp)

You have to be more specific as what you meant by "below"..better if you can attached an photo. But from my guess..u could be referring to the tubing right at the bottom and under the bike. If there is leak there to the floor..it should be ok as it's from the coolant reserve tank overflow tune. This happens when your coolant gets hot and raise itself and overflowers..especially when you topped up too much above the second line level in the coolant heat resistance reserve plastic bottle.
