tanks........i hear mus 1k 4get it liao........i still pondering over to get the showa serviced or get a 2nd hand bitubo shocks........wighing the pros n cons n i still cun get it straight......n i reali din noe after fit diff shock behind need 2 tune the front shocks as well........

Hi huatster, i think you got me wrong - the front fork installation of the preload tensioner ONLY APPLIES if your front fork DOES NOT HAVE A PRELOAD ADJUSTMENT CAP. Adjustments can be done by yourself (20kg per 1 ring gradation) if you're confident or are willing to experiment (Or have help). Therefore you may not need to install it after all.

BUT, if you want to make the most of the new bitubo shocks it's best to adjust it to your typical weight when you ride (plus minus pillion, box etc). It's not a neccessity but very highly recommended if you want to make the most of it. Some people who aren't all that much in pushing the envelope / limit around the corners will simply install the rear shocks, and happily go along their merry way - That's ok too.

But if you use the bike for entertainment and not just transport then it's only a bit more out of pocket to see the "full show" if you know what I mean. :thumb:

The response through the corners and bumps with a properly tuned setup is a world of difference from what the stock setting feels like and traction is much improved (front doesn't dive and rear doesn't oscillate / float) :D

So bottom line:

1. "Tuning" - Not necessary (Can DIY)

2. Installation of preload tension adjustment caps for front forks (if your forks don't have them) - Highly recommended

You might be able to limit your damage to about 500 if you're ingenious enough . .

erm haha u check price wit them bah... quite sure nt so much :D u can check wit the west side ppl... i think almost 75% all use before. erm quite sure we din tune front forks after change to bitz sus. but i guess best is check with your mec? u can check wit mocca/menimonic/issayboy/monster/westspec/soulrider/turbo/qs ah ya too many nicks to put...

also have many other 'cheaper' brands... you can also just service and also change your springs to other brands if your spring chwee already

Beware of many of the :gun: "cheaper brands" as there are some riders out there who have reported that they end up with something worse than what they replaced (the original leaking SHOWAs).

Servicing the SHOWAs' is probably the most SANE option - Bikelab OR Teck Thye are the best for this i think ~ $230 to rebuild the pair (PROBLEM SOLVED).

luckily i didnt get tat..if i fulfill my dream..tat mean i gt no more dream...juz kiddin.

why there "MUST be a reason on selling busa"? Have you asked the seller why is he actually selling?

No no.. have you asked EVERY seller who sold their busa for their reasons?

I almost sold mine for a reason.. do you know WHAT that reason was?

If the answer to the above questions are a clear NO, then pls stop spouting your one sided opinion which creates a degradation effect on a particular bike model just by your own mere speculation.

To top it all off, you excused your own remark, in fact every of your other previous remarks as "JUZ KIDDIN"..

So until you have facts to back your words up, pls stop putting up a target board for pple to shoot..

I would rather you put it this way, "I noticed a lot of pple selling busas lately. Could there be a particular reason perhaps?"

This would be at least non-speculative and certainly arouse positive and constructive discussions amongst us..

I hope next time you could take a little care in thinking before posting bro and no, not everything can be considered "just for kiddings"..

Chill lah... ESRians... I sense a lot of friction going on amongst us for quite awhile now. What is becoming of the ESR? Where is the spirit we used to talk and brag about!?

All lost and forgotten to the makes and models of the vehicles we are owning?

4 wheelers, 2 wheelers... 18 fcuking wheelers, who gives a Sh!t?

I didn't even have a ride when I first met you guys and I felt welcome.

I even took public for a few outings, but WE worked around it.

Some were even insensitive enough to joke about asking me to buy a fcuking bicycle... but I took a chill pill and let it slide...

Point is I am still here....

I am ESRian with or without a ride, because I believe in US.

I believe in our code of honor: "Leave no man behind."

I believe in the friends I have made here, from cyber space to reality.

Simply because we all believed in each other, regardless of the number of fcuk-ups we have gone through.

Do you as individuals still believe?

Let us just cut each other some slack, we are human at the end of the day. We all fcuked up in a way or another... at least we try to be honest about it.

Just in case some of us have forgotten our roots

Likewise for our ESR group, brothers/sisters come and leave due to various reasons, priorities change, etc...

However I am very glad to have those remaining active brothers/sisters still with the group...

I guess have to go on a recruitment drive liao... Mr HR Manager, you are wanted to head this campaign... Hehehehe!

You guys talk as if you've put in a lot of effort in trying to unite these pple together...

You guys mentioned quotes and mottos that existed before and maybe stiil exists now..

If you know that there are gaps and frictions amongst us, why not DO SOMETING ABT IT rather than just sit there and do nothing?

Some of us are trying hard to fight that gap and friction but some pple just dun get it and keep creating them..

Some of us are putting in effort, sacrificing family time to organize trips, outings but some just dun bother to turn up despite the effort..

Some rather stick to small groups rather than join in bigger gatherings just because there are few pple here or there that they have frictions abt..

If you guys are true to your words and your sentiments about whatever it is that you've said, then I shall wait to see if there are any initiatives done to bring us as ESR tighter..

In my whole life I believe there are 3 types of pple..

1) People who MAKES things happen

2) People who WAITS for things to happen

3) People who DON't KNOW what's happening

Until then, you will not see me doing anything else.. cause I am very tired..

For 3 years I have been waiting for new faces to take the initiative to lead the way and for 3 years I feel helpless as it was always the usual faces who took the torch..

Those who have spent effort trying to organize outings, trying to create chances of tightening the bonds of ESR and also even to open up your hse for us to gather, I salute you...

To the rest, wake up your idea..

ps: Sorry IceZ, I shall not delete my post as it has a valuable lesson for all netizens to learn in "responsible posting"..

This post is not meant to offend anyone rather to give you a wake up call. Certain lines and sentences are directed at some people. You know who you are if you feel that pinch in your heart when you come across that sentence. I hope this will do you and the group some good.

"To know where we are going, we must know where we are from.. on the other hand, We must always move forward and never look back if we want to succeed.."

Special thanks to Mag, Blue for constantly updating the ESR multiply where I have never failed to rejoice at our past moments together.. As they say photos really speak a thousand words and they are eternalized too..

Sorry chao, I can't hold it any longer. Since words are put on the table, I am putting mine too.. So no use to sms me and tell me to delete this post.

Signing off with a heavy heart.. Manzz

My dear Manzz, as sentimental as we are, as much efforts we put in to keep the group together, there are always a few people who will walk only a few steps together with us as a group, so please don't feel so upset...

Fate is a funny thing, it brings people together and separates people...

As a group of friends gets bigger, more individuals are gathered, each having different sets of agendas and priorities, characters and temper, thus it is not strange for some to come and go...

And time have revealed true colours of a few and I am somewhat affected recently...

But life still goes on for all so let's just put all those unhappy things and disputes behind us and move on...

I am the originator of this thread but it is all of you guys with your own special ways who make the group shine out in SBF...

I pray and hope for more happy moments for all of us here in ESR and let us all reflect on ourselves, and be humble and open to welcome those new riders who are interested to join us, just like it was like a few years back when we first began...

Signing off with a hopeful heart...
