Which is the best? (2B scram)

Hi Folks,

 

i'm a newbie here. but i would like to ask the reviews on the following bikes.

 

KTM 200 EXC

KTM 200 SX

WR 200

(or any other scrams that belong to 200cc)

 

the questions are:

wad are the acceleration like? which 1 is the most powerful?

which 1 has the best FC?

which is the best bike to ride? e.g. vibrations affecting riders, etc

which is best for trail?

Reviews on other Scrams are welcomed too! everyone can learn together too =)

well . . . as for wat other brands of dirt bikes under 200cc, there are quite a few. dunno them all. . . ktm (EXC,. . .) honda (XR) yamaha(wr, tw) husqvarna (?) aprilia (?) i'm too sure of the exact model code bro.

wad are the acceleration like?

ktm is on the top of the list when it comes to acceleration because of the fact that its a pure race bike. modification can be done to other bikes to achieve a relatively respectable pick-up.

 

which 1 is the most powerful?

they are all powerful in their own areas. its not just the engine that's important. handling, geometry and suspension comes in play as well.

power without technique is recklessness, technique without power is Art.

 

which 1 has the best FC?

yamaha is known for better FC but depends on how you ride too.

if you constantly have a desire to "win" other motorcycles on the road,

that would increase your FC tremendously.

 

which is the best bike to ride?

if you're looking for a comfortable ride on the road, then a road bike would fit your needs better. almost all dirtbikes vibrates (sounds corny)

well . . . think about it. your bike helps you in the foreplay when you send your gf back home. (if you know what i mean)

They have their own good points.

Looks, maintainance cost, power, FC

 

which is best for trail?

havent tried other bikes in trail except my own. so can't comment about this.

 

after all, you need to know what you actually want to do.

just ride and look cool. (no need, riding a bike is cool enough)

or you really want to start riding a tough bike.

 

if you are still comparing other kinds of bikes with dirtbikes, they are alot of other bikes. BUT if your heart is screaming for a scram. just get it. its fun when you're BOLD.

Depend on your usage....

Ktm200 EXC - Trail worthy,no comfort,butt vibrator,high FC,high maintenance.

Ktm200 SX - NOT legal for road use.

Yamaha WR200 - Leisure trail,better comfort+FC,cheaper to maintain.

 

Better pick-up = Ktm200exc.

Top end + crusing speed = WR200.

my old wr200 top is only 100km/h ... makes it a pain to ride on the xpressway. i dump it and rode back a sportsbike. but then it is fun when u can go up the road kerb and grass not having to worry abt ur fairing and its fun on street roads.

How come youe wr200 max 100km/h only ?

150km/h you SURRRRRRRE? The meter only up to 140km/hr leh... Mine can go 130 only... anymore I think the piston will punch a hole in the head. For 2b bikes scrams are really fun to ride. Scram convoys have a big wow factor IMO.

 

FC for my WR can be anything from 17 - 22 km/l depending on how you ride.
