i would think if you have a passion for the PGM4 and you really like it, just buy it and ride leisurely and try the feelin of the PGM. You dun have to win others in pickup on purpose to show your bike's worth or your capability. Just ride and enjoy =)

I would say problematic is only when you notice an issue arises and not do something about it and procrastinate on it nad it will become a problem.

PGM?? I think too many people idolise Andy Lau..

IMHO, PGM so old liao somemore 1994-1997 design.. it is natural occurance that wear and tear will erode the parts. As there are no more production and since it is 90s bike the part will be very hard to find. How often you see a PGM on the road. 3-5yrs later will be even more rare.. right??

Pick up faster in corner also depend on how tight is the corner, unless very tight then must reduce a lot of speed to enter the corner, then PGM may pick up faster. If the corner not tight, dun need to go slow then cannot highlight the pick up.. how often you enter a very tight corner?

Point to note, be prepared to spend to enjoy the utility of owing a PGM.

I rather get a RS250. (if Andy Lau uses rs250 for his movie then no would get a PGM...)

Hi bro Maldini03 : Maybe ur right many ppl idolise Andy Lau where as some ppl really like e feel of 2Stroke 250cc in Spore. But personally im riding pgm too, for parts wise its not much of issue cos its still available and there will always be stock except for HRC parts quite rare. Maintance wise is easy n doesnt require lots of it, most importantly we need to know how to take good care of them, example using Good 2T. Other den that its a good bike. As for corners wise, Spore is like a small track to me every corner no matter how tight or wide also can play cos its light to flip and counter each bend. Im just giving my feedback no offence. Good Day (^^.)

reasonable is up to indivual, if u know how to diy de then if the shop quote u something that u know how to do at a higher price then u will feel 'wtf so ex' i think the price quote there so far is reasonable even if it's higher a bit i don't mind i treat it as paying a bit more for quality service :)

I get what u mean. :) Act I was thinkin of changing my clutch plate there as I see my rpm cant rev high machiam choked like that. Is this the symptom?

clutch plate nd to change when u feel there is a clutch slip, eg. whenn u open the throttle but bike not pulling.

im not trying to boast about my experience, everyone have different experience in riding certain kind of bikes....i used to be 250 siao.....until i gave up cause a lots money spend, times etc....ive regretted buying 250cc bike....everyone have diff opinion...maybe some experinece riders here can share your views after riding 250cc bike last time....those riding during early 90s?can share some views...if you ppl still think that 2 stroke 250s are reliable, then just buy it.....and try test it with any 400cc sportsbike....maybe that 250cc is still powerful than 400cc bikes now....

been riding 2 stroke 250 since 1990 from tzr250 1KT - 3 MA (reverse) , nsr250 pgm3 n 4 and race the nsr and own an rgv250..... its not dat powrful comparing 600 nowadays .... but still love a stroker .... no complains ..... cras ..repair ...repair ...250 its a race replica ..to me a race bike to be tip top its maintenance ......

Yes age of the machine is 1 of the determining factors.

I am in the positon to comment because I own a bike with a similar DNA

and age as the PGM.

What I can say is that,if you want it to perform like it is expected, you got to

be resilient to bounce back from the maintenance and/or repair costs.2 stroker components are often obtained individually.A mix and match of new and old components can sometimes come into conflict.Like for example overhauling, try not to re-use a piston with a new connecting rod or block. The grooves or edges would not bed in as expected.

Just my 2 cents worth.
