hey bros, i am quite a noob in this steed. anw my bike clutch suddenly not working! any idea what could be the problem and will it cost a lot to repair? because i still got to fix my oil leak on the top of the engine.

Hi,

 

anyone knows how to remove the chrome Vse radiator mesh cover? I wish to spray it black as its already quite rusty when i took over the bike.

 

So far i only managed to unscrew the only screw i can see which is just directly below the horn but it seems that there's two rubber stubby thing at the bottom. I dun dare force it out as i really duno how to take the cover out.

 

Can to enlighten? Sorry if my description is fuzzy.

So just pulled out after the screw on top have been removed

Thanks bro! I will go try again. Btw, my front wheel spokes r reali rusty. I've tried using thinner to rub, turtle polish compound, autosol but no result...

 

I tink i will juz change the front rim lah. U tink its a gd idea to get a sport or solid rim like the rear? Any shop to reccomend?

Hahaha Sunday only early evening I will be free guys! Coz im going fishing.

 

But horr.. tell u all firstly that I have kub and a superbike now.

No more cruiser

 

Veil so rich ah change rim just because rusty?

You can try oldman metal polish(some CMO)

or Wack more with autosol! instead of changing rim, sent it for chroming.

My fav is meguairs mag and alu polish(black tin and pink inside.. just how we like it) $20 but well spend(im hell cheapo)

If you can remove rim yourself, bring to geylang chroming shops.

If cannot, go through bike shop eg first motors.

did my oil change+filter+plugs at unique.. 151.. bike feels way better now! what surprised me was the cost of the bulb! it was 10 bucks!!! and i tot it was only 2 bucks so i ask them to change all 4 of my signal lights.. hongkanliao! each ten! not enough money! hahah! end up the good guy manager let me have it for 2 bucks.. haha =)

 

now looking forward to change my handle... and maybe the brake pads soon... my bike seem to be chirping like a bird when i move...the faster i go..the faster he chirps...haha!

If you learn to do it yourself, bulbs are $1-2. oil depends. filter 15. plugs $5 each at first motors(as its a hassle for me wo the right tools).

 

The chirping sound, get them to blow compressed air at the brake pads. If it cures and comes back, change pads to a good one like ebc hh $65 and bleed your front lines. If not, check wheel bearings.

Who wants to change eo this sunday or bleed brakes? 1L is too much. We can share a bottle and we split cost. I got a bike jack too. You can bring ur equiptments to lube.

I thought of using the ate blue brake fluid because it read its good. http://www.mxtradings.com/NGK%20and%20others.htm I got the bleeding tools.

Welding a pillion seat on a honda steed bobber.

expensive huh? thought so..what to do...haha! its not that i dont wanna learn how to do...just dont wanna screw up the bike..screw up the threads and stuff...yea my brakes are chirping...but when i squeeze alittle on the free play..it doesnt make a sound! when i release..there it goes! haha.. hmmm those knn filters...heard about the brand... whats the difference between the normal honda filters and the knn ones? does it improve the sound??? been looking for ways to make this bike sound manlier... haha

About the speedo, I can tell that the light under the face is very bright but still it looks dim throught the face! lol. It's using a 9 SMB led T10 (correct Hydher?). My conclusion is that the face has gone opaque after many years.... just like my coolant reservoir tank

 

Speaking of that, wrshao, flushing means drain all the fluids, fill it up with flushing solution, run the engine for a while, drain it, then fill up with new coolant

 

I think whenever you go though a pothole your pillion will smash into u! There was a bobber with pillion seat on sale a while back... from what i can tell it's basically a custom subframe that hides underneath the stock seat

Understand from your point of view. But what I actually meant was that welding the original sub frame back where it was cut off. Another explain will be restoring the bobber to the original style steed.
