Understand from your point of view. But what I actually meant was that welding the original sub frame back where it was cut off. Another explain will be restoring the bobber to the original style steed.

Oh I see. I misunderstood... I thought you were gonna weld directly onto the swing arm! lol

Anyway the bobber with pillion seat is this one:

Sad to see that you have to let go of your Steed...

Got quite a number of bike shops in that are so you can walk around and ask.

Ah Chong from Planet Motorcycles told me he could get orginal Steed exhaust so he may be able to get rims also

Planet is unit 430, just down the row from FM

Otherwise you can try Autobay @ Kaki Bukit (bike and car workshops hub)

Got all these addresses from an awesome app called Singapore Maps (both android and iphone)

Thanks bro!

Welding a pillion seat on a honda steed bobber.

Any comments guys? Is it too dangerous? Or are there any innovative ideas on it? Thanks for your inputs!

I wont dare to.

Hey hyder,

expensive huh? thought so..what to do...haha! its not that i dont wanna learn how to do...just dont wanna screw up the bike..screw up the threads and stuff...yea my brakes are chirping...but when i squeeze alittle on the free play..it doesnt make a sound! when i release..there it goes! haha.. hmmm those knn filters...heard about the brand... whats the difference between the normal honda filters and the knn ones? does it improve the sound??? been looking for ways to make this bike sound manlier... haha

Spray wd40 on the brake level joint and let it soak.

Knn save money long term maybe a slight performance and sound. Dont expect too much on it.

About the speedo, I can tell that the light under the face is very bright but still it looks dim throught the face! lol. It's using a 9 SMB led T10 (correct Hydher?). My conclusion is that the face has gone opaque after many years.... just like my coolant reservoir tank

Speaking of that, wrshao, flushing means drain all the fluids, fill it up with flushing solution, run the engine for a while, drain it, then fill up with new coolant

I think whenever you go though a pothole your pillion will smash into u! There was a bobber with pillion seat on sale a while back... from what i can tell it's basically a custom subframe that hides underneath the stock seat

Yes correct. Why not try first motor for pipe.

Fyi, mxtradings. Check out the schaeffers vtwin!

Haha, yea. Wanted to downgrade cause no money. And to get a bike with pillion seat. But wait for me, I might get a steed 600 in time to come if I save enough money to customise it.

Welcome! I think this should be a must read for all bikers, new and veteran:

http://www.motorcyclecruiser.com/streetsurvival/adjusting_your_bike/

You should have seen this if you have been following this thread :)

Hydher, the mod kit I was refering to is this:

http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/turn-signal-conversion-kit/part/EC-01315

It will fit the stock signal housing. No modification to the housing. Just stick the LED board to the lens and then route wires and tap into the stock wire harness.
