Yup due in sept... Thinking of heat wrapping my exhausts header since I'd removed it. Any bro know where I can find heat wrap? And how long do I need for both pipes' header?

erm, gotta check with T1 since I ordered through him, but SHOULD be around 2m for each pipe? I THINK only... hur, check with T1, I wouldn't bet my money on it..

hi guys, i getting my steed soon,so i was reading up all the previous posts in this thread to get a clearer picture of what i may face in the future. the steed that i purchased, to my inspection, seems ok, no bent no dent no scratches or whatever, wheels are good and lining is good.

 

most prob, i hope to get a servicing before i start off my life journey wif my steed, and should i go to ah chong or rosli? the seniors mentioned that rosli is more knowledgable in steeds rite? and does he open shop on sat too? cheers.

I just fixed back the original pipes onto my bike last night. It sound so peaceful and friendly....lol

Guys need some advice. My bike is VLS got no fuel On/Res thing, my guess it running by fuel pump. Is there a warning light if it went reserve. It run out of fuel this morning and there was no warning. sent it to shop, any idea how much the cost to repair back.

Ran out of fuel will damage our bike? I always the habit of topping up the fuel when I rode for 120km+, pump around $10. So never have issue with empty tank.

Did you take note of the mileage? That's your signal to top up petrol from now on. VLS like that, no fuel ****. Not sure about reserve light though. And dunno why must send mechanic. Just take cab to petrol kiosk, buy petrol in metal can than go back to bike top up petrol enough already. Nothing to repair what.

haha...yea..learn the hard way. I was just testing if the warning light work, guess went too far...lol. Send to shop to see if they can do anything about it, if not then got to go with mileage lor.

My engine is always leaking EO, rev is irregular, FC getting bad to worse 18km/l - 17km/l - 16km/l. Backfire like mad when travelling..

 

Thanks to Sprint74, he intro me to Amir. So i sent in my bike 10am on monday, and got my bike 2pm on the next day.

 

He change some float thingy and the valve in my carb. change gasket, and bolt seal.

 

 

- backfire minimized, will go back for tuning again.

- EO dun see any leaking yet

- FC unknown, monitoring

- rev more regular

 

total damage 280.

 

You sure it was leaking engine oil? sounds like petrol to me and a worn carb float that wasn't doing it's job. The new one's gonna last you quite a while though on the upside:P

Giving away original Steed rear fender (used). Some scatches and a crack but still in 1 whole piece. I'm moving house so clearing some old parts. Let me know if any bro interested. Throwing away in 3 days time if no one interested.

Ya leaking engine oil. I had 2 bikes shops verified it, thou 2 gave different solution, of coz i go for the cheaper one LOL!

Anyway, leaking solved. FC nv improve.

Anyway got my front tyre change and brake pad change cost$128. (sorry Oldboy, cant wait, raining season, perhaps next coffee on me)

 

Shop say my petrol float got problem, parts need to order...estimated damage 70-80 bucks.

Any second opinion?

It's cool.. My bridgestone still very new, maybe change to white wall tyres later bah. Now need to settle my inspection first..
