hi guys, any opinions on the new facelift kia cerato variant 2??

Whats the FC like?

i was considering picanto vs proton savvy. seems like savvy has beter engine specs but i prefer picanto interior. Also savvy has better consumption and better pick up..plus cheaper parts. yet it seems the reviews are anti proton so a bit hard to decide.

thats y tinking of forking a bit more for the cerato and see if its worth the bucks . Thanks.

get the cerato.

much better than picanto/savvy.

more spacious and much more power.

go test drive the cars and your choice will be clear.

adjust both the front seats to your comfort and then try sitting in the rear for a few mins.

seriously go down to the showroom and see for yourself.

remember to sit at the back while viewing the car....

its a good choice no regrets. The engine pulls strongly and the interior is classy.

despite a heavier chassis compared to jap cars it still can give a decent FC of 13km per litre (manual transmission with 40% city 60% highway driving)

amongst the other options for 1.6litre category i would say the cerato is reasonably priced with no compromise on quality.

only downside is the resale value which affects all korean cars across the board, not just the cerato in particular.

its best you test drive all the cars you are considering so that you have a better feel of their handling and comfort.

i like their variant R but till nw no news of it...

Unless the performance upgrades came from the factory, i dont think its ever going to materialize.

LTA will have a queue of other makes 'enhanced' by local garages.

What sort of upgrade?

1) From 105bhp to 122+bhp?

2) 4 disc brakes instead of 2 disc + 2 drum?

3) Upgrade from 15inch rims?

4) Ugrade in engine from CVVT 1.6L DOHC?

5) Better fc?

Car:

Leisure driving and family outing

Kia Cerato/Auto/Sedan:

Present FC: 11.03km/L

they definitely had a lot of 'help' from external tuners in upping the V2's 122bhp to Variant R's 150bhp :o

even if C&C did the variant R upgrading inhouse it still wont be recognized as stock condition from factory.
