Parking in NTU

Anyone studying in NTU? need your advise... Me just took up part time studies at NTU. Since its far fm my home, thinking of getting a bike. Question is, where can I park at NTU? My lessons will mostly be at LT 15..

 

During my orientation at LT7, I did not see any bikes lots at the carpark, only for cars...

oh... That carpark you saw is most probably carpark A. That sheltered carpark has no bike lots.

 

There are a couple of carparks in N3 b4 and N2 B5 (near to your LT15) that has sheltered bike lots so dun worry.

What r the charges like? any free parking in ntu?

you shld check out the ntu thread, and maybe meet the ntu bikers sometime, they shld be able to give u a much better orientation.

 

on a side note, what course are u in ?

I read many pages of that thread but mostly chit chatting... me taking up part time maritime course there..

 

1st lesson this thurs evening... morning TP test, if pass go buy bike to ride there

sorry to disappoint, but i dun think buy bike like buy toy so fast..

 

You still need to get insurance, and transfer of bike ownership.

 

The transfer of bike ownership usally take 1 working day..

 

Anyway good luck for your TP!

For the carparks, look for CP/D, CP/E or maybe CP/F on the map. Should get you near enough LT15. If not, sometimes people just park inside carpark A itself especially during the evening/night time. Illegal parking of course, do at your own risk!

u can park at N1 or N2 carpark at the basement.. go up the slope n pass the bus stop.. make a left turn n u will enter the carpark.. u can park at the bike lots or go up to the area where the lifts are.. u will see many bikes parked there..

bike transfer can be done in a few mins time with a few clicks of the mouse.

done it twice at LTA before.

 

if you get from shop, they will print out the insurance certificate for you and you can ride straight onto the road already.

 

why i know?

morning passed class 2 TP, around 12pm leave driving centre to bikeshop.

1pm riding my bike to have lunch already.
