Hi

 

As long as the claim is not made on the insurance, your NCD will not be reduced. But your NCD will be hold back till the case is closed. meaning your claim is made.

 

The premium on your new insurance is very high and did you ask the reason for such high premium. Is your premium this year much higher than last year?

any idea how much insurance for a 22yrs old who just got a 2b?

 

i know it would be cheaper if u have more years of experience..how about age? does that affect? how much roughly?

the age group of from 21 to 27 years old is in the same cat. The insurance could be between $300 to $500, depending on which company and which insurance u getting. But comprehensive( 1st Party ) insurance will be more expensive.

Any gd ones to recommend ? like wat coy sells gd for value insurance ? i guess i should get 1st party for overall coverage but den one thing is .. my frd giving me this bike and need to extend the insurance which he's doing it .. and will transfer it to me when i get my license.. and also the name transfer thing too .. where can i read up on this kind of stuffs ? like costs etc etc

hmmm...for my age 24 yrs old... my insurance for 3rd Party F & T is $1.6+k with less than 1 yr of riding experience ...

juz some reference

22yr old p-plate getting 3rd party for KRR is around:

$300+ for Mitsui

$500+ for NTUC

 

actually to get a specific quote

u need to call up the respective insurance companies and provide them with your details so they can give an accurate quote

 

every individual person is different from one another

so the kind of prices/quotes other pple get may or may not be similar to what u will get on yr own

currently there isnt any website that reveal prices of different insurance coverage for different age groups (the only closest match being the online quote system thingy found on NTUC income website)

 

so CONCLUSION for those who are really interested to know how much insurance would cost = CALL the various companies up

no one here in this forum is able to provide any exact quotes for u

hope this answers some of the enquiries

generally for new riders.....currently NTUC cost more than Mitsui

so try giving Mitsui a ring

was at the Serangoon ASPhoon on Sat and notice that they have tables of a few insurance company and their calculation table.

 

so if you are interested to compare the price, can go there and browse.

 

just share this info cos find it pretty good.

1. is one insurance for one bike only if i getting another i have to buy another insurance?

 

2. IF the sub-rider buang the bike and makes a claim, does it affect the NCD of the main?

 

3. anyone know mitsui-sumitomo ins refund is how much?

for 1st 2 qns, the ans is yes

 

3rd qn is tht it depends on how much ur insurance is left, they only refund when the amount is above a certain amount (not too sure how much, sorry). i tink they'll refund 80% of wats left

my road tax ends on 23 jun 06,

i cannot renew my road tax for another 6 months after 23 jun 06 bcoz

my insurance covers me only until 15 dec 06.

 

Is there such thing as like extending insurance till a preferred date,

as in to coincide with the road tax?
