I got bitubo shocks for my rear. during high speed corners i tend to feel a slight wobblish feeling on both my front and rear. i've 'tightened' my rear shocks.. any better methods to stiffen em? :cheeky:

probably they are not dialed in properly.. rebound/preload not at the optimum setting.

can drop by mezzo and look for andrew. he will be glad to assist you.

Anyone has thoughts of going for Hyperpro rear shock springs on our Showa? They have it available for CB400.

Bro,

i was informed that my suspension is at the last click - meaning can't go up anymore.

I'm not familiar with this issue. could you advise me?

Should i refill the gas for the suspension canister?

appreciate your help!

Yes..can do that and if memory serve me well..at Teck Thye..they charge $40 per canister charge. Better still, add an extra spring spacer to your spring.

Not sure about Bitubo shock as I don't use them. About having chiong for this brand, never heard of it. Best you seek "aRcHeR" advise on this..he's into Bitubo suspension products.

As fot YSS..I guess every brand of shock has its price to perormance. Seen quite a few bikers with it and have positive feedback at that time when we spoke..but long term wise..I won't know.

I know that the best subsitute for SHOWA would be those that found on the Honda CBF 750. Don't have the bell and whistle of red spring and canister..just plain chrome with a upper spring sarong but its f**kin' solid.

If buget allow..Ohlin are the highly accalimed ones..but again..it's just claims..don't expect to have the same grade and performance of those that found on GP bikes...sometime, you pay for the name..that's what "sponsorship" is all about. If you have a Vtec SHOWA and need a replace..get a non Vtec pair type..like those of PB1..that I can say its more freaking solid than those of Vtec ones...again IMHO.

As a bystander, I've spent an hour reading thru the drama between Ah Pek and Infernalwar. Whether whoose really at fault, the best is to meet in person and talk reasonably. If a person keeps the product, at least pay for product. Btw why no conclusion to the drama?

Hi Pek, thanks

I'm wondering as well. if I will to service my canister, the purpose is to?

Right now, my sups is at the last click, so if i will to service my canister, I can adjust the click the the first?

Not too sure about the sups issue. Hope you can assist me!

Thank you so much in advances!

Normally one would 'service' their shock only when the bike gets wobbly because of soft suspension due to no or bad rebound rate..either spring is soft or gone bad. Some ppl go for full refurbishing when only their back suspension oil seal gone (oil leakage) bad or/and impact protection rubber damper damage.

As for the canister..I think its unction as a high and low-speed compression adjustments that aids the spring in rebound..."rebound" here meaning..the spring when compressed must return the suspension damping rod back to its original position after daming as quickly as possible. So to say..if the canister is about empty..I guess it does not aid the spring in this area of performance much and the spring becomes soft thus that adjustment (click level) has to be used till it reach it maxs one day..like your case.

Yes..the spring will be adjusted back to minimum (reset) again before canister guess is top up. so in your case..if no oil leak or protection rubber damper (at bottom of the shaft inbetween the spring) is ok..just go for a canister refilled. Don't worry..David (shop owner specialist) knows what to do and will advise you accordingdly. In case what I say here is not correct..plse do post here and advise accordingdly what he said so that we all learn.

Maybe to fully extend the rear shock is the best way to top up the gas cos the piston in the canister is at its minimum setpoint.
