given the choice, i would top up and get the bitubo instead. comes with 1 yr warrenty somemore, anything wrong just throw back to distro for free rebuild. but so far haven't heard of any leaking or what so ever.. just the usual servicing..

i heard a few cases of bitubo shock leaking. anyway the warranty got terms and condition.

usual servicing of rear shock?? meaning??

routine servicing.. recommended service period is about 1-1.5yrs of usage for normal riding.. change of oil, seals and o-rings.. and also checking of internals for wear and tear. plus a good clean up. :)

Stock is good...Choose your weapon wisely and enjoy it...you can have all the $$$$ to mod and in the end you can't make full use of it....

maybe lifespan is up.. if seal blows within 1 year, usually it's covered under warranty.. so no worries about that.

huh??? so not so good afterall?

everything is no good if you dun take care of it..

showa is good, no doubt. the brand is good, but the shock that comes stock with s4 is the lowest of the range.

how to be best?

shock servicing at reputable bikeshop will cost you minimum 290. and it might not guarantee that it will be better than before or it will not leak again.

Ever used SHOWA on my small bike yamah RXZ, fuhhhhhhhhh the oscillation still good man...

good for corner as it won't compress as much as showa & not tat bouncy..... the suspension is much more harder than showa

if u are tat kind likes to play corner.......

U mean only bitubo offers stiffer suspension? I kenot buy Showa GP standard shocks n replace em to achieve better results? Weird rite?

Twat: wad they say is true.. go to thomson fly over n corner at 110 and u will see wad they mean. i can feel alot of sagging even though im using 3 month old showa shocks. tested my frens bitubo(without canister) while cornering, its really stable. especially at high speed corners can feel the stiffness n stablility(rebound rate)

like what is posted, showa is ok if you are just riding alone, using it for travelling from point A to B.

but if you pillion frequently, like to play corners, or if you are a heavy rider, you are recommended to change your suspension.

archer: which is better in terms of cornering n stability? the bitubo with canister or without canister?

of course is the 1 with canister. reason being it offers more variables for you to adjust other than the standard preload and rebound. the 1 with canister allows you to adjust high/low speed compression damping as well.
