Hi all, im faced wif a little situation here n i need some help as to how to solve this little problem..

 

my insurance, currently mitsui, ends in july 08

my road tax needs renewing from feb-aug period

i should be selling my bike somewhere in march

 

so wat should i do?? i've tot of riding w/o road tax, but im looking for an ideal solution to solve this legally n without losing too much money.. any help pls?? thks in advance..

I don't think $37 for the road tax is too much money in the first place..

Get the rdtax, it's not like ur riding a class 2 bike -_-

 

Anyway, beats paying the fine they WILL impose on you if you don't pay

so easy wat.. go n lay up ure bike.. pay $5.35, no need to pay roadtax, then cut ure insurance from whenever u lay up n get the refund from them till jul 08.. no need to pay also but insurance company pay u back.. then wana sell.. post in forum la.. no need money also..free..so u lose only 5.35c.

 

When u sell ure bike.. ask the buyer to renew back everything n get the refund of 5.35 when u cabcel the lay up la.. atlast u don lose any money..

den i dun have bike to ride le.. its not the roadtax dat hurts me, its the insurance le.. i only know ntuc can do installments, but my mitsui ending in july, dunno wanna cancel the mitsui n get ntuc anot..

by the way u think riding withou raod tax.. LTA just keep quiet n smile huh.. u don pay within a month it's 50 bucks surcharge ok.. might as well pay the raod tax.. like wat jet grey say it's not as though it's a few hundreds man.. it's jusy 40bucks.. don be such a miser can..

well if that's the case.. u just renew insurance from july to aug only loh.. also maybe very less wan la.. asit is for les than 3 months.i think only Ntuc does that.. just xfre ure NCB from mitsui to ntuc la.. if ure record good.. no need to worry.. but just don ride the bike without insurance n road tax.. u may be lucky once or twice.. but not fo too long..always remeber

transfer mitsui to ntuc? meaning cancel mitsui n buy ntuc huh?

you should have aligned your insurance right from the start to end when your road tax ends.

 

ask mitsui for an extension untlil your next road tax ends.

 

selling at whatver date doesnt matter...

Your insurance ends in July 08.. You're selling your bike in March. I don't see the problem with your insurance since you're already tied up. Unless you're selling your bike in March 09, which, I would say, is super early planning lah..
