Buying a 2nd hand spec 3 should be enough.. If u getting a car do consider dat u must at least earn $2500 per mth if ur single, $3500 if ur married, $4000if ur married with kids... Alot of people i knew dat have cars got a problem makin end meets...

 

But the choice is yours... No one can stop what u want to spend it on, u only live once...

The previous guy who bot my Volvo, also paid full cash to me.

My father pays full cash for all previous his cars, heck he even pays full cash for his HDB simply becos he doesnt like to take loans.

 

I think many of the older generation are like that.

The new generation have less of such people though.

There are too many other cost besides car sale price.

Fully agree. When one needs money for emergencies, they can sell the house or car to get some spare cash. But if they take loans, they can't.

 

Some can't even pay off the interests if they decide to sell off their cars after 1 or 2 years ownership. Ended up in debts.

If have $10k, I suggest buying van such as Citroen Berlingo.

The one that I'm having now.

Bought last year. Working very fine til now.

FC quite good. everytime I pump my tank full can last for about 850km.

I pay about $78 for full tank. so average I'm paying about $140-$150 for fuel every month.

 

If u have $10k for downpayment, then can have lesser loan. Montly payment will be lesser.
