Night Cycling!!!

i used to cycle anywhere at night, my area.. esp. when i was 16, always cycle to my ex-gf house there, which is about 2 to 3 km away...

Anyone of u have been on night cycling trips??

 

can let me knw ur route and other details like duration, bike get frm where all these!! And any experiences!!!!

 

 

Ahaha.. I wanna rant.

 

Just make sure u keep to the left edge of the road n ride on the double yellow lines. If you're group riding, don't ride side by side in an erratic zig-zag fashion, chit chatting away. Keep your eyes out for motor traffic coming from behind.

 

And for the love of God, don't use and hog single-laned roads like 99 turns. I can't bear to stay behind you at 20kph for the next 1 or 2 km. If I'm gonna overtake you, it's going to be close and you're gonna get cramped into the curb and then complain here and there abt being bullied by motorists, when you fail to realize that all along it was you who was road hogging traffic.

 

Or... you're gonna get a rude shock when I breeze past and you swerve into the kerb.

 

 

And for God's sake, use the pedestrian crossing if you're gonna make a right turn. Nothing sucks more than having slow cyclists cut 3 lanes across traffic making me brake hard.

 

Yes... The road is for all users. But know your place and speed differential from the general traffic flow, and not expect motorists to treat you like a charity/handicap case just because you're pedal powered.

(10pm)AMK-> YCK-> Old Tampines Rd-> Pasir Ris-> Changi Village-> East Coast. Then group split up, most went back t AMK. I cycled with my friend intending to ride home to Bt Panjang. But along the way, we stopped at a Suntec bustop and slept for abt 15 min.

 

In the end cannot tahan, I left my bike at my friend's grandma house in Chinatown and took the first bus home(ard 5am).

I cycled the entire length of East Coast Park before. From near MacDonald's all the way past Bedok Jetty.

 

Then back in the opposite direction back to the chalet, I was watching xiao hoon hoon whilst cycling when my friend rode in too close... got our pedals stuck together, and both of us went into the frog pond. Tt was back in Sec skool.

back in those time when i am wif my riding group.. ard 20+ ppl, we almost everydae meet.. if gt sch in e day time den we meet night time.. den always go riding.. can sae most of e time is tamp to pasir ris park to changi beach to ecp den back to bedok to tamp.. although is in east area, but i can tell e journey is damn fun.. if u really gt ridin frenz, u dun nid to arrange where to cycle to.. even is a short journey oso can be fun too.. oh ya, dere is one time some of my riding grp ppl cycle frm tamp to sentosa.. hahax...

Xiao hoon hoon laffed at us. I was not exactly very amused by my fren. Apparently I can keep one eye on xiao hoon hoon, and one eye on my direction... my fren couldn't.

 

It was a good thing that I was staying at the chalet and had change of clothes. Otherwise, I would have strangled him to death on the spot.
