i was thinkin of doin tt also...intermitten...both soft n hard break in...wat do ya think..??

ape yg aku tau..to do hard break in kat dyno will give your enjin better life span and more hp to start off with..

1st kena tukar myk pakai mineral oil.."rembat" kat dyno then change mineral oil again..run for a few hundred clicks then change to synthetic oil..

Idea behind hard run in is to expand your piston rings to snugly fit your chamber so that tkde loose spaces where compression is lost during combustion..when minimal compression is lost, u gain more hp..

tapi kalau nk buat hard run in..klua kedai then straight gi dyno cos if you ride on road for a few hundred clicks already..wear has already occured andhard run in is redundant..

>> Nie smua aku read up kat internet jadi jgn salahkan aku if you think aku mepek yea...hehehe!! :cheeky:

Blade, let's say kalau macam gini ok jugak kan. Dapat moto, change oil, then go for butt dyno, then come back for another oil change..

Yup..tk salah kalau go butt dyno tapi you must do it in heat cycle...

What I mean by heat cycle is to maintain at say 10% throttle for about 1 km..then stop bike cool off.

Start again then maintain at 20% for 1km then stop and cool off..

Pelan2 naik sampai 100% throttle...

The idea is too not make your bike run at a certain rpm/speed for too long cos it will again wear the sides of the rings..again this will make the whole butt/dynojet dyno redundant...

Posted

Butt dyno and real dyno run in the same principle...important is the heat cycle and proper way to do it..

Pros and cons : hard run in will improve life span and more hp to start off with..but if done wrongly will harm your engine..

Normal run in will not harm your engine other than making you lose abit of horse power due to your rings not taking up the spaces...

For more info..tunggu japz...aku cari link dier and aku post kat sini...

ok noted

so seriusly...wat u guys think..??what r the chances of jamming the bike..??butt dyno tu ape benda..??bontoad dyno ker..???

butt dyno tu, simply means riding the bike and... and.. ape eh ? erm.. feel the as though u dyno-in your bike but in the real world..

haha.. apa aku merepek nih

haha..butt dyno tu naik moto and test rasa pakai bontot lah instead of the sensors kat dynometer...in other words bawak kat road test.

i rather like tat normal run in.....kalau minimal hp lost jer...wont want to 'terperanjat' kan my bike...lagipun kt spore nie...dorang yg dyno nie...bukan really passionate bout it...its just business ....

Betol ckp...ikot cita rasa masing2...pasal aku go for hard run in is bcos aku dah tk sabar nk rembat and main track..

tk sabar nye pasal...blum 2nd instalment aku bayar, aku buat condo kat kat turn 1 PG. hehehe...

See wat are your needs...run in pegi KL pon ble tapi ingat bout the heat cycles and cooling off je..up and down your speed and never maintain at certain rpm..
