Well, as I can tell, the 250 2-stroke is a relatively fast bike, in this situation the RS250, and from experiences with it being properly tuned, etc, it can keep up with a stock R1 until about 150kmh, after that, the R1 leaves it in the dust.

And roughly seen a RVF and a RS250 stay side by side in a 5 lap race, but on such a small track, and "small cc" bikes, it is part man, part machine...

Cheers

P.S. But sadly, 2 stroke bikes above 200cc tend to be gas guzzlers....

harvested: thx, thou the 636 doesnt look bad either. he just needs to change the exhaust! the stock one very big

cheng: yeah it is. bought my nsr250 for 4.8k bike price..

anyway i had a rvf before i got the r6 (bought in jan), went down pg with the rvf quite a few times last time, thou i havent been down on my nsr. but imo, the nsr250 is as powerful(or more) and is easier to flick about than the rvf. im not saying that the rvf doesnt corner well, just that its quite a bit heavier, and i feel it. the pull is totally different also. of course there are pros and cons to every bike. i like my old rvf alot (a friend is riding it now), but i kinda love my nsr250

guzzler or not, a stroker is always a fun bike to ride (if it doesnt break down of course) :cheer:

Amen to that, another thing when you are working on a stroker, no bloody power cams to worry about...

Cheers

Hmmm, steering damper I assume? It is to sort of create a damping effect to smoothen out hard steering, and that jerky feeling you get with your handle bars.

Cheers
