capitol where eh??old cinema oso issit?

I remember Capitol cinema last time got stall and circle tickets. Looks more like a concert hall than a cinema. Got two statues of horses at the sides of the stage screen if I'm not mistaken. :confused: I still can remember some movies that I watched there. 'Nico : Above the Law', 'Terminator 2' and 'My Cousin Vinny' to name a few... :angel:

First of all, in order to enjoy this movie fully, you have to suspend your disbelief and don't crack your brains trying to figure out the rocket science equations in explaining how time portal or time travel works. Denzel Washington is ATF agent, Doug Carlin, who is assigned to figure out who was responsible for blowing up a ferry boat in New Orleans. Together with some FBI scientists headed by Val Kilmer (he's grown chubby since his 'Batman Forever' days), Doug is flabbergasted when he discovered that the scientists had accidentally discovered a way to look four days and six hours into the past.

 

It is intriguing to watch them spying on a woman, Claire Kuchever, who is linked to the terrorist bomber, in the past 4 days. It is like all of them are Greek Gods, watching and knowing what will happen next. Either that or they are just some voyeurs with sophisticated equipments. Little wonder that as Doug keeps watch on Claire, he inadvertently falls in love with her. Now, he has to go back to the past to save her from getting killed by the mad bomber (Jim Caviezel of 'Christ' and 'Frequency' fame).

 

Though I don't quite understand the logic of space time continuum here, I still like this movie. It is interesting to see on how things in the present are linked to the past and explained when Doug travels back in time. The love relationship that develops between Doug and Claire is sweet, romantic and a joy to watch as Claire shifted from doubts and mistrust towards Doug initially to trusting him with her life. Though this movie has two time settings, the present and 4 days in the past, I was not confused on what is happening in the plot and storyline. A rather good movie in my opinion... :thumb:

Used to buy circus seats and sit upstairs, very fun....

 

Can really remember what i watch there, but prob can find the tik stubs....

 

It was a good dating place..... not too crowded.... Too bad they closed it.... then still not doing anything to it :cry: :cry:
