Expert bros...

2day i went HKL to service something and found out frm one of the mechanic that when change wheel bearing must put grease on the new bearing... is this true???

Cos, when i change my bearing at JB 3 mths ago, the idiot didnt put grease; he say no need, all ok... can last 1 year.

But now knn only less than 3 mth, my front wheel can shake left right...

I was charged RM24 for the new bearings then... now mus change again..

Ive experience this vibration both on my Suzuki RG and Wave before...in the end...I founf out that it cause by a badly worn out piston rod pin. A.k.a overhaul.. :) U can check by either lookin for trace for metal powder while u drain the engine oil or by removing the piston and moving the rod front and back. If there is slight moving, I can confirm that the pin is worn.

Have you done your monthly maintenance? Like as in change Engine oil and Spark plug first? If after that still vibrate then i guess your engine got some problem already.

its quite normal for wave to vibrate after 80km/h... due to at that speed on wave, the engine is pretty stressed... and when stress sure got more vibrations...

you can always try ur friend's wave or smth in malaysia and see if its the same feeling....

however if u're talking abt left rite left rite feeling... it could be ur steering cone gone, wheel bearings, tires out of shape(dunlop tt900 has this problem).....

imo, ur bike no problem. i certainly dont enjyo riding at 100km/h, too unstable for my liking...

Harsh engine vibrations is inevitable for Honda Wave when travelling in excess of 80km/h. Free play in wheel (Side to side movement on mainstand) means worn out wheel bearings.
