its not a TRE equivalent. It have nothing to do with "decieving" the ECU to think that you are riding 5th gear when you are on 6th etc.

TRE actually is a very crap construction.

The Fi runs individual map on each gears. and when you have the TRE on you runs a 5th gear map when ya running on 6th gear?

Suzuki bikes have different maps for the first few gears, TRE tricks the ECU into thinking the bike is in 3rd gear.

TRE not only a GPS that remove the "restricted torque" on 1st 3 gears.....read on....

This was posted in Team Gixxer Thread slightly more then a year ago, and really its my opinion of TRE and equivalent crap.

I service at Combine but its pretty ex. Anyone noes where to do carb wash and tune? And when to do it? coz im not sure when to do it. The mech says once a yr. But thats pretty vague. Just wondering what probs u encounter when u dun tune ur carbs. One of the probs is not realising the full power of the bike. anymore?

By the way, aint you the biggest fan of Italian Marque and V Twins Engine, why the sudden interest in GSXR (Japanese) Inline-4?

Thanks for your reply :thumb:

I love bikes, both design and technology behind it. In no way is my interest limited to italian machines. :D

Just finish reading the full circuit diagram from L5 onwards and compare to a old wire harness. think the restriction is only in the PINK wire. Tried removing it just now. Have to wait till tomorrow or someother day when going 2nd like to test it out.

It's the only wire that connects from the 180 speedo restrictor to the CDI. And after searching for donno how long. i'm giving it a try

hoping for good news from my bike.

Got this idea also after riping the 180 speedo out. Maybe one day i take some pictures of it for all better understand on how the speedo restriction actually works.

P.S: If by end of the week nothing goes wrong. People out there. It's safe to cut the PINK wire

 :goodluck:

That works out to 252km/h @ 14,000rpms :thumb:

But I think you should use a voltmeter to check what the pink wire actually does before cutting it or testing the bike.

Some circuits need a return path, or a floating ground might burn it up. Or if its a closed loop controller, might have wierd effects.

Heard theres a Racing CDI in the market. Must go have a look at it first.

See what price tag is it on.
