a non license person can only own a bike if the person have a sub rider who has a license...

without the sub rider who has a license the non license person cannot own a bike...

Wah lau OMG !! U cannot ride without valid licence .Be prepared to go to prison if u are caught by TP at Traffic police stop... If you want, you will break guiness record for riding bike without licence ! We will admire u lol

1st offence : Ride without valid licence

2nd offence : No valid insurance

You have 2 charges to face in court liao. Yr life will be wasted if u do tt.

i got a fren riding w/o licence n kena caught, suspended for dunno how many yrs cannot take licence.. got another fren riding w/o licence n stop for awhile, now he got his licence n riding happily.. so the moral of the story is, can ride but dun get caught

Posted

5 yrs then can take license..

4 digit fine..

2nd offence.. above 2 + jail sentence..

Some people measure their adventures in miles or days. I prefer "lamp posts".

I don't think it's a good idea riding without a license on the roads (I don't know about closed track circuits though). Singapore is full of "eyes", namely in the form of ERP cameras, traffic light cameras, even the inevitable TP.

Therefore, it goes without saying: don't do it unless you're superman...

Ride safely and remain offenceless!

you can still own a bike legally? When I say legally, meaning getting that ownership letter from LTA after producing I/C and insurance papers.

Yup, u can. But when you do your insurance, you have to notify the Insurance Company that the policy holder will be non-rider/driver. They will then ask you to nominate another rider/driver for the vehicle.

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB

last time i was caught riding without a licence for 2 times. first time they fine me $1700 and was suspended for 1 yr...then within that 1 yr i met with an accident and again without a licence and was sentenced 1 mth jail, fine $1700 and suspended another 3 yrs. seriously not worth it...regretted...and after my suspension went to bbdc to learn slowly. now even i have my class 2A already.

PLS DO NOT RIDE/DRIVE WITHOUT A LICENCE U WILL ONLY ENDANGER UR LIFE AND THE LIFE OF OTHER ROAD USERS. I LEARNT MY LESSON AND I HOPE THAT THOSE WHO ARE READING AND DONT POSSESS A QUALIFIED DRIVING LICENCE AND ARE THINKING OF RIDING/DRIVING ALSO LEARNT A THING OR 2 FROM MY PAST EXPERIENCE. REALLY ITS NOT WORTH IT.

i think threadstarter is genuinely someone who does not know the regulations, who has a c*ck-up fren giving grossly wrong information. give him a break, and lets just be happy we straightened out the regulations for him. assuming the story ends after he now know cannot ride without license.

to those deliberately ride without license:

its ok if u dun care or dun think u will kena caught. its ok u not scared to kena fine, banned from riding or not scared go jail even. its even ok if u not scared to kena fatal accident due to your lack of skills. all this if happens, is your own pasal, nobody else care, except ur loved ones.

but think about the consequences u force on others with your irresponsibility. think about how your lack of skills might cause serious or fatal accidents on other innocent people. and think about how much worse it becomes when this people cannot claim damages and hospital bill because you dun have insurance for them to claim from. think about the innocent man u might send to hospital paralysed and his bike write-off and he must pay for everything, and future life, out of own pocket, because he cannot claim your insurance, becoz u dun have any.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

I was caught once without license too. Was fine 4 digit and 1 year suspension. I nearly got friends into trouble too. It is not worth it at all. Get a license and drive or ride without having the fear of being caught and pee when kena road block...........

I guess you can ride without licence, but not on the public road. I.e. if your backyard is big enough, you can ride there. Or some other place whose owner agreed that you can do it.

For example, in the recent dirt race on Marina South there was a 12-year old boy who raced and won the novice class. Obviously he did not have a licence. Everybody new he was racing, including organizers and police. Nobody objected.

Yes you can ride without a valid license, if you or got fren staying in an old private condo, those with huge open air carpark, you can circle until siao/sian. Pray that you dun knock into anything.:goodluck:
