Can HIGHLY recommend the top of the line by Taichi. Very light weight, and when not in use, rolls up to a very small size, easily fits in tankbag with other stuff. Very breathable! Wear it over my Dainese textile suit, still comfy. Recently rode two days straight in rain. No leaks. Was initially put off by high price. But sometimes you get what you pay for. Bought at Hodaka.

That's the problem with most cheap rainsuits. They work just fine, but when you don't need them and role them up, they are bigger than you ex-girlfriends butt! Where to put? Plus, the cheap ones don't breath very well and don't have the mesh liner.

Most comfortable rain coat for touring is army Gortex rain coat and pants available at beach road army market. Full set $170+- can bargain

U can wear it whole day, still comfy.

Only problem is u must wear riding boots or army boots cos the pants length

not long enough, cant wear timberlland or hi-tec that kinda waterproof hikeing shoe with it without some modification.

the army gortex have the hood which would obstruct the helmet and checking of blind spot

Just got the Dainese 1-piece raincoat. Easier to slip on and comes with stylish storage waist pouch. Tested in heavy rain twice and no water seeped through....

The only minus point is the price. $184.

Dainese has a pretty good and durable raincoat set for $150. Very good rain protection, breathable, and looks great.

Clover from Chiap Lee is also good. Has a neat hood tucked into collar, very thin and breathable, not to mention easy to stow, since it can be squeezed into very small spaces. Lighter than the Dainese. And costs about $100 I think. Bought this a long time ago.

Yar $184! That'd better keep me dry if I fall into a flood too!

Am currently using the Clover raincoat and have tried an acquaintance's Dainese in heavy rain. Both kept the rain out very well. The Clover is very thin, so it doesnt keep the cold out, and I was feeling VERY chilled.

U can try arai raincoat. I bought it at 1 of the shops at bukit merah at 60+ bucks. Come with the rain pants as well. Quite comfortable n waterproof. But sadly, mine was stolen not long ago :( Haha.

Hope he crashes in the rain and gets both legs amputated.

since ure asking, might as well ask for all 3 legs to be amputated

Tried them before. They are convenient as they are cheap and easy to stow.

However, they are as fragile as they look. Usually after about 15-20 times of usage and the pants start to leak at the crotch, and the top lets some rain in.

I like them because they are cheap and easily replaceable. But I stopped using them because they may fail you on a day you really need rain protection. I got drenched just before a meeting with important clients, went for meeting looking and smelling damp.
