Thks for your info....by the way are the places you mention good? cos I have been to Parklane before, but I find the table condition quite bad and the place a bit dirty....cos my boss ask me to organise 1 pool session, since company pay, so go for higher class one... :cheeky: I think there is 1 below Hard Rock Cafe right? sorry I dunno the name....anyone know the charges for that place?

u want high class ah? go the pool room at dbl O or the ladyrinth at middle road. i wld recommend ladyrinth cause jus open, looks really classy, 13+/hr but since coy pay, jus chop them lah. below hard rock one is call potblack, dnt bother gng there, high rates with lousy table.

 

anyway, wat company u working in? got tis kind of thing, ur company wanna hire pple or not?

no prob but nowadays we dnt go for jus plain pool outing, everytime is go out then on the way play pool one.

 

tmr we'll be gng for steamboat buffet & may land ourselves up in a pool hall. maybe u wanna join us for steamboat. there's a thread on it. steamboat outing

pai seh, just want to ask if anyone knows where got snooker lessons. heh, been playing for 5 years now. very difficult to improve without proper coaching. sigh~ looking to further my skills. please advise. btw i dun play pool, just snooker. )

btw if play pool / snooker/ bowling, can go marina south superbowl. price is very cheap for snooker table(if u have safra card its 6 dol) . not sure bout the other games though. opens 24 hours and it's smoke free (u can smoke freely). been playing there since i started. usually in the wee hours.

how much r u willing to pay?

 

btw, get ur basics rite 1st, the way u stand, hold the cue, ur stroke all veri impt. cue ball ctrl is veri impt too, snooker isn't about jus potting, smetimes a well played safety from ur cue ball ctrl can win u the game. read some books, it might give u some ideas of the correct technic.

 

u can play some pool too to learn from the best of both worlds. lots of national players r changing to pool liao

em.. maybe go to the place near bugis there de... the table a godo too.. the rate bout 10+... pool fushion 3... if billiard ar.... em maybe u can try go klassic but need member.... hahaha dun really noe where good good table for billiard..

oh, i guess i'm done with the basics already. i just need coaching on how to further improve my points per cue etc. my placing is ok, i can get my cue ball to where i want etc but i need someone of professional standard to judge my play and maybe correct my errors etc. money wise, maybe 30-50 per lesson ba. but i have one requirement, he must have an average cue score of 50 or more... if not then abit pointless liao. my average cue score is around 30 per cue. thanks for listening.

 

btw i was a pool player before. gave the game up coz there are too many 'sub-standard' rules.

oh well, it's quite okay for snooker i guess. i always play on the same table they do change the cue and cushions regularly. open 24 hours ma... norm me and my friends start playing at around 12mn , if we go other place prolly around 230am we have to last game liaoz...we play there can play till 6am or 7am ma
