different tips ah? hhhmmm, normally snooker got not much diff tips but nowadays heard got leather tips. leather tips r suppose to give u more spin on ur cue ball.

 

for pool, really got lots of diff tips, tips for jumping, breaking etc....

 

u can go to the Q shop at bras basah or initial ED at upper serangoon.

Bro, there are many kinds of cues and prices can range from $50 bucks to thousand over dollars. If you are getting one and seriously in the game, get ready 3-4 hundred dollars or more for a good cue. if just for the fun of it then 1-2 hundred can get you a moderate cue. Ultimately depends on your budget. Can try the Q shop like redname said. I got my cue there. Maybe another 50-80 for a cue case? :D

if u look at some of the replies i gave above, i quoted an email a cue collector wrote to me. he's selling 2 limited edition cues at 500 each. was made for 2 of the world's best players ever known.

 

but if u budget a bit, i tink 100+ shld be ok.

 

if u happen to be gng thailand soon or know someone there, get a cue from there. i saw cues there at S$80 which has workmanship & playability of cues tht r sold for $400+ in s'pore, all jus because the s'pore one is branded

So wanted to learn some skills but not lose money until siaoz.

guys, there'll be the biggest pool event in s'pore happening on tis sat. its the semi finals & finals of the TNP after 5 pool league.

 

this event is nation wide & thus, a lot of teams r involved. the top prize is $10,000, so it has attracted all the best players in s'pore in tis game.

 

semis r at 2pm & finals is 6pm, it'll be held at funan.

 

semis 1: Este the club vs Devils bar.

 

semis 2: Shin bar vs Mambo 1 billiards.

 

i wldn't miss semis 1 for watever it takes but too bad i cant make it tht day. the winner for semis 1 will prob be also the winner of the event cause these both teams r made up of veri veri strong players
