Flapper valve removal -

1) It gets rid of the dip in power between 5000 - 7000 rpm, and i have a serious fuel glitch. Fuel glitch have not been troubling me now so far.

 

Pair system removal -

1) Weight Reduction

2) Reduction of engine compartment clutter

3) Increase in the scavenging ability of the exhaust system...:bouncefire:

any one selling off their SP2? im thinking of trading with my r607 black....if cannot get in a mth time, maybe im getting the new unit at LOOIS..(Mr Lee quote me $23K...will neg for lower price...worrry the resale price later...sure a big loss leh...sigh!!!) I simply luv V-engine.....but juz cannot afford a Duc at the moment....so SP2 is the next best thing...pls PM me....

bro... back then in 2003 when i bought mine at :sian: $24k OTR.... ride for three years clock 15k :slapforehead: km on mileage only... condition tip top cause always avoid riding in the rain:bow: ... but sold the bike at $15k nia to a bro here... so to calculate with interest and everything in i lost around $15k... so my advice try looking for 2nd hand one condition like mine one lah... wont lose so much...:cheer:

i would say all bike resale value not gd one.:cheeky: .. especially sports bike... buy new one then sell... lose until take off pants:D ...

bro... order it from motorworld.... but took hell damm long for e item to arrive:sian: ... if i remember correctly it cost around two hundred plus back then in 2003.... not sure of e price now:cheeky: ... maybe u can try to buy from ebay motor... they got quite a number of selection there...:cheers:

Hi Joven,

I'm no expert in this RC51 either, maybe there are a few problems.

Firstly spark plugs fouling, if you using Power Commander trying asking pros/mechanics to check, might be the ECU too,

I faced a really bad experience once on the way back from Malacca after a heavy downpour there. Bike can start and move like normal after riding for ard 30 mins the engine feels like there is not enough fuel pumping into it. Engine stops when i stop the bike. When i restart the bike all was well again. But the problem persist throughout my return journey. I have to keep the throttle on so as not to stall the engine.

 

ok here comes the funny part, I sent the bike to the mech he gave it a really few hard revs and the problem is gone. Maybe you could do that too...:)

 

This experience is my personal experience so it may or may not help you guys. Don't quote me on that, just helping fellow RC51-ers....
