done! they dont do reconditioned bikes but surprisingly Uncle Han helped me...change my oil hoses with bandit 400's. now my $160 dollars poorer but my bike runs alot better now. no more losing oil~!

anyway update on my bike~!

i DIY my coolant ytd. spent 1/2 an hour taking out the front fairing.

refilled my radiator(i found that i only filled 500ml of coolant the 1st time i flushed it!!) with maxima cool aide(the rest of the bottle) NB!no enugh. have to go mustafa centre grab another bottle. sianz. so 1 and half hour later. the coolant's top up and the fairing's on. Bike runs cooler now. fan doesnt kick in anymore. Yeah...

 

CS, how ur bike? still need to cover up huhz? found ani other way to solve the problem?

is that the coolant pump or is that the connecting hose that houses the thermostat? i think coolant pipes eroding is quite a common problem in bandits. i've seen one bandit in the same condition as ur CS.had to change the thermostat/pump housing.

Hi.Coolant is a big problem in bandit too.I jus hav leak frm the rubber pipe tat r 11yrs old.Better change all the rubber hose.If ur fan dun on mayb ur thermostat is faulty.

swirl : that is the coolant(water) pump

the hose portion tt connects to the rotten portion also a bit chui le, so, the mech did the cheap and good way-- CUT IT OFF, shorten it abit lor, now, no more leaks... and yea, i am a happy man

red bandit : i got it at AMK indust pk 1

the shop tt i have been with since i started riding

so, he changed the pump and of cos, have to change new coolant water....

total damage- 175

anyway, he dun use distilled water... tap water....

and i know, about the deposits tt occur in the long run......... erm.. but

well...............ey.................... (nothing to say, doing it despite knowing it is wrong)

for your information, on my bike's service manual, coolant hoses are supposed to be replaced every 2/4 yrs. haha...so CS, 11YRS? way over due to change.

 

Ohz btw, the mech just fillled tap water or got add coolant solution? if he only add taP water, then i think its best for u to drain out the water and top up the coolant urself. tap water = rust. but if tap water+coolant= less chance of rust forming. coolant= no rust(95%).
