I have this weird sound when riding my ST3. sounds like two metal ball bearing knocking each other.

Anyone encounter before and rectify the issue?

To all Triumph riders with Zard exhaust.. Anyone of encounter any backfire just before and after changing gear ? especially when changing gear around 5.5k RPM ?

Only get the popping from the Zards when deacclerating on a closed throttle after changing down ( glorious sound ). Check that there is no air leak at the joint where the Zards bolt onto the exhaust pipe, use soapy water to see if you see the bubbles.

I think it happens to ANY exhaust? But it only happens when you close the throttle too quickly ... blipping the throttle usually helps.

Keep the Zard lah .. So lucky that you have nice sounding exhaust that is street legal. Harley and Ducati riders don't have such good fortune
