So who is "he" you are referring to..

so far i have only met 3 guys from this forum...

All wearing disguises :shades: Can only speak for myself but it's in case my wife spots me behaving like a teenager :(

Thought my nice new Striple "Triumph" blue stretch bike cover had been nicked but just got a call from apt. security to say it's suddenly been handed in anonymously as "found" ... phew. Am I being paranoid ? o_O

Hi guys, I'm a newbie here and recently bought myself a 08 S3 from MAH, I'm sure some of u guys would have known by now that the black speedie arrow low boy is sold. So far the rides been good with minor glitches which I sorted out on my own. Have also observed the mah forum for RATs is awfully quiet. Thus im here. Would be peachy to have a meet up with u guys for rides n chit chat sessions. I'm residing in the west but traveling most places in Singapore can be a breeze with the S3. So count me in if there's any or a simple ride be awesome from time to time as I'm currenlt a little free even in day times, due to offshore soon tho. Thanks in advance.

Ciao

Yup, I'm going to modfy it with a reinforced "slot" for a wire lock. Sadly they only come in Blue :( but it still looks pretty sexy in stretch PJ's

Forgot to ask if anyone was going up for the 3NCR, didn't see one Trumpet there  but it was a good event just the same.

This teasing with Triumphadventure is really getting my juices flowing :thumb:

Going overseas for a couple of weeks, must have a Kopi get together soon.

I was down at MAH on Saturday, bike was getting serviced ( 12000km ).

Had some time to kill so had a look round.

A couple of lovely new Speed Triples ,one in Graphite grey and the other red with a white strip down the centre.

Horny bikes!

There was a Daytona with a nice blue and white paint job, but hideously blue frame and swinging arm ( hope this won't become the normal ).

I was surprised to see the prices on the bikes , as I,ve not before.

The cost of them has come down, whether this has something to do with the shocking value of the British pound to the Sing dollar, I don't know. ( I,m actually glad ,as being from the UK myself ,the wage here is now far more than could be expected in the UK ).

There is a used Daytona for sale with under 1000km on it, for 18,000.

Bargain.

Also, I saw the VFR1200 for the first time, auto transmission, no clutch lever and gear lever. Not sure what to think about that without having a ride, but I cant help thinking that all the plastic and high riser bars make it look like a 1200cc scooter.

A fast scooter that it is.

On the first floor , near the Triumphs, but hid in a corner is the most hideous creation this side of Imelda Marcos.

Its a Honda, custom chop thing. But for the love of god, don't look at it too long as I,m sure that you would turn to stone.

I should have taken a photo of it, the salesman refused to believe it was there when I asked what it was later down stairs.

Had the bike serviced by a great guy at MAH who has made it fly again.

It was cutting out when coming up to junctions and clutch in.

He cleaned and balanced the throttle bodies ( dont know if any electronic adjustment was made though ) new air filter.

This has transformed the bike into a flying machine. I can't believe the difference!

Next service is the big one, 18000 km, as the bike is used every day, it won't be long until it gets there.

Cheers

Cheers Cicio.

Its also awfully quiet in here too.

Personally, all my riding is done to work and back with a few trips to the shops thrown in.

The days of rides out are gone for now, that is until my two young children can accompany me on them.

In the UK for a bit of leave, went for a tesst ride on a new T100, now I understand why they are so popular, completlety vice free bike. Then I tried out a very tweaked T100, red line in all 5 gears, 125 mph almost 200 kph  absolutely amazing.

Picked up this weeks MCN, new Speed 5kg lighter, more power and torque, ride position moved forward 45mm, they are saying it now has the agility of the Street with a lot more oomph! Personally I like the new headlights and they definitely look right on the Tiger 800.

In between the usual UK weather spats I even managed to put a few miles on the Tiger :)

Hi guys,

I love the look of the Speed Triple, but I have a small question :D

Does the bike feel jerky at slow speed?

I mean, afterall, it has so much OOMPH that it might be harder to ride it slow... Yes no?

Thanks! :)

all triples, since the t309's handle very well in slow traffic as it has the torque characteristics of a v-twin.

they pull really well from low revs all the way to the redline, where the in-line fun sets in.

now if you are talking about specific machines, the tiger is top heavy and the speed triple is very well balance. the daytona will be a like any other sports bike where riding in slow traffic is a pain (due the riding position).

I was at MAH on Saturday. The bikes had prices on them.

Difference is about SG$6000 - 7000 depending on the add ons.

Depending on what riding you do . I only commute, at a rapid pace , so the Street Triple is perfect for this.

Curious... what is the price difference between Speed Triple and Street Triple? :D

one is 600,the other is 1000...:p:P

bra,u wanna know more,we meet up la..let u test both..but honestly as what crazytown says..i totally agree with him as i feel 600s are perfect in traffic..the litre bikes are abit of a handful in torque..

blackie 21....i never have a chance to ride on the streets as i have no bike license to try that out however i do heard alot abt my friends whining(n i do mean whining..hahaha) about riding a sportsbike on the street..even on the track the 675 takes some getting used to (im still in this stage) its super slim, the tank is small, position is taller compared to the Japs...

i sat on the street n speed triple and the ride position feels great...
