Just an hour ago, I had a chance to start the engine on what I think is test bike for LTA. It was a black model and had one of those test plate screwed on the front.

It certainly sounds very different from the 954. It sounds like the Hayabusa, deep and throaty (Can anyone say deepthroat?).

The R1 sounds more like a Ferrari to me ... when idle.

Although the bars are slightly lower, it's also closer to the rider due to the shorter tank. The seat was higher, but due to the smaller seat, I don't have to tip toe any more than the 954.

Behind the fairing, everything looks more packed. A good attention to detail feature is you you don't have to tilt the bike upright to check for the coolant level. It can be done on the side stand.

Boot space is virtually non-existent. But still you can pack in the toolkit, U-lock and manual. It should also fit a maglite. I'm sold if I can pack in a bike cover.

I just did a check with LTA.

Inspection of new vehicles will take a week or less.

In the case of the FireBlade, for Boon Siew bikes, documents were incomplete, and they're still waiting for Boon Siew to revert back.

Hmm, I wonder where's the bottleneck at Boon Siew.

Hahahaha, oh noooo, you have discovered my secret. Now no more 'sum c c'.

Do you know where I can get clear stickers that can be cut and stuck over the lights to prevent chips from stones? I saw an ad in some car mags that has this protector, but I can't remember the place. Some place @ Fair Drive or whatever. Any clues?

Tashi, quoted from that australian,

Great Bike, great handling, new tyres that's the problem. I lost my front

wheel doing about 8000 rpm on 3rd. Taped the speedo so i don't really know

how fast i was going. Nothing much but a few bruises. Nope clear weather

that day, no rain, no nothing.

Maybe I just didn't have the confidence i had when i was on it. My cousin

did very well on the 1000RR. He wasn't too happy about the wreck but he

doesn't really care.

Ken, maybe you can check with him what 'shoes' his Blade was wearing. I've mentioned earlier that the Blade is best on BT014, not the Diablo Corsa.

his is a diablo, so is ours.

euro spec comes with diablo i supposed.

but i read somewhere that the diablo can give the CBR1000RR a more ''pointed'' feel.

We can change the OEM tyres meh?

Any comments on the CBR1000RR ram air duct?

u referring to the one aligned to the pillion seat?

i was giving it a slight tap with ONE finger and it nearly gave way, gifs me the impression tat the ducts cant take a slightly heavier impact. but it really boost the looks of the beauty.

that 1 never mind, i dun expect air duct to be strong lah, its most importantly is it serve its purpose.

i m referring to the front end air duct, but like abit weird leh, the duct not fully intact 1 leh, like machiam is take in air from the radiator direction.

dun noe what the H is thinking.

but dun care much lah, i dun go for top end.

The Blade comes with 2 OEM fittings, either Diablo or Battlax.

The rear one is not an air duct, if you peek thru the gauze, it's 'no thru'.

The front duct is for cosmetic purpose only. That's what Boon Siew told me.

Anyone noticed this? Honda sticker only on the right lower cowl, not left.

Hybrid swingarm ... Tokico front, Nissin rear ...

from what i see is the rear duct is got opening to the inside to clear off some heat from the exhuast.

as for the front, i think is like the rvf air duct which it is indeed got air duct to the ait box, but the air is quite minimum.

but the cbr600rr is a real air duct rite?
