WOW JB! You too?

I wish I could keep my blade when I get a car... But not feasible, so I should look for potential buyers 1st, while I plan out my finances for a car.

For me not feasible to get a car in SG. Travel about 30km a day to and fro. I sit in the office whole day till night. Have always wanted a superbike, but parents only gave me a car to drive. When I was working in KL, I drove everyday in the jam until I was terrified. Had to get a 4 wheel drive so I can drive up pavements to overtake cars. No doubt it's nice to be in the comforts of a car, but biking still puts a smile on my face.

Whats the market rate for 06 blade now?

Should be 16+ for an accident free one. But if you push to shop, it may be difficult to get that. So what car are you planning on?

That was the price a shop offered me for trade-in. When they sell it, maybe about 17k? You can try selling at that price. It's better to ride for 2 yrs then sell.

I think it's natural evolution. When you start off in a bike, you will want to get a car eventually, and the other way round if you had started off in a car.

When I drove, I would wind down the window when I see a superbike coming to hear the exhaust note. When I see people getting on their bike, I would go up and offer to start the bike for them. It's funny now it's happening the other way around. I happened to see a NR750 at Hard Rock KL once, I was jumping up and down.

In college back in 1992, when the 1st 900RR was launched, my ex-gf asked me why I didn't call her during semester break. She was upset. I told her I was sorry, I thought of the bike more than I thought of her.

I remembered my friend and I got on a C70 rode all the way to Shah Alam to watch Mick Doohan, Wayne Rainey and Kevin Schwantz race. Some idiot on a GSX backfired at us on the highway. After that, I was even more determined to get a bike.

But having a car is also nice. It's one of the things in life you have to experience. Good luck!

Since most of you selling bike already, should try the twisties in Cameron Highlands before you do. It's one of the things you have to do if you have a supersports, you'll never get the same thrill if you go up in a car or any other types of bikes. In a car, you'll probably puke the faster you go, on a bike, you'll be grinning from ear to ear. :cheer:

I would very much like to keep my bike as I still prefer bikes over cars, but I've reached a cross road where my life is not about only me anymore. I look around and see my parents aging, I don't want to worry them anymore. Having a car to ferry them around is also more convenient.

Then there's also the gf's side. You want to assure her parents their daughter is well taken care of and not subjected to the higher risks that riding a bike gives.

The joys that biking gives cannot be replaced. I still remember the last and only road trip I made with the guys to Sepang last year. I was so excited I couldn't sleep the night before. And yes Tashi, I was grinning ear to ear on the trip.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not abandoning bikes, just taking a break first. Hope to make a return in the near future.

Ride safe guys!

Opps. I think mis-communication.

U asked me whether want to go track on last monday (26th Mar) right? I told u that I'm working. So just asked how's ur track on Monday as it was raining in the morning.

If want to go track on weekday, need to plan as I need to apply for leave. At least 2 weeks notice.

You are a good son. :thumb: But I heard the chassis on the Swift is prone to cracking, better buy Honda Jazz. Hahaha, just teasing you and WW.

I think you all can start a Swift Club already.

Perhaps the next one is Chilly, he's got a superglue now. :cheeky:

So how Lostsoul? Monday is also fine with me (can always take urgent half-day in the monring since they're pushing my off-day again to next month). I can get Hikaru to follow us cos he's deciding whether to go on MOnday (2nd) or Tuesday (3rd)
