Because the calorific value of the stay tar coil of the generator is large, when low-speed travelling is repeated, the coil becomes high temperature, the insulating material carbonizes and there are some where part shorts, becomes charge and insufficient.　Because of that, the battery discharging, when the engine becomes out of order, it is worst, the engine stopping, there is a possibility of becoming not be able to restart.

 

Honda is saying, if your coil blows, you are a slow rider, haha. Beagle must be going at 300kph, his never blew.

If Honda has issued an official statement like this, it is very likely they have determined the cause, the insulating material.

 

BS also told me the newer coils have better insulating materials.

 

I have physically inspected my coil twice, so far, the insulating material looks fine, after 16,000km.

 

This is indeed good news. 2nd hand market value will not be dropping as much.

 

I wonder the next time when I go to FJT to buy oil filter, will I hear of them telling an epic story of one good guy who shoots letters. :smile:

HTI is a term use by the bad guys to shroud less intelligent consumers in a cloud of FUD, to distort their clarity and ability to think properly. When used at the right moment, it distracts consumers from their goal, leaving them confused and returning home empty handed.

 

Example. “Hey, my coil is burnt again, what are you guys doing about it?”

 

“Well, we have not received any HTI on that, but we’ll be sure to contact you when we do.”

 

At this point, the consumer experiences uncertainty, they don’t want to look stupid, so they keep quiet, if they asked, they fear they may be looked down upon, so they return home in doubt.

yes im now the current owner of Faz aka Jaybon aka Dr Mambo bke

very blessed to have his bike got it on tuesday,

yesterday bike no open starter already

im really new to this bike so im a born again virgin

wow....finally honda settle de coil issue?....hopefully by then...the 1k RR resale would be better...and time to join into de liter club w/o the coil problem.:sweat:

Yah installation is very easy

Will show you which wire to tap

 

I wonder hows Rommel's bike doing

Heard his coil went kaput

Luckily he installed the voltmeter which warned him of the impending problem

So he rode straight to BS and left the bike there

Saves him from pushing the bike and feel embarrassed

So Rommel come out wherever you are :cheeky:

So LD Nakamura, when are you getting on a Blade again? 600 also not bad. I'm glad I manage to take you on the MotoGP / Fraser's Hill trip, at least your old Blade is not wasted. But you must try Cameron if you have the chance.
