Yesterday night i ride like normal but my temperature seems quite high .. Then when i park the bike i can see coolant dripping from under the bike.. Wat does these means??

Posted
Base on meter.. Was. Riding at 1am along clementi but temperature hit 90 plus . Every traffic light temp will be ard 105 and fan will be on

do a check where the coolant drip from..

if the coolant drip from the reservoir, time to check the rad cap and had it change..

HELLO WOOPA GANGS!

I'm Kal. Ordered my CBR1000RR(Repsol) last month and its already at the bike shop. Went down to check on it yesterday and I can honestly say that now I have a hard time sleeping. I CANT SLEEP thinking of my new toy. Most probably the bike will be ready one week before Hari Raya. That's 2 weeks away. I will have heavy eye bags by then. Hahahahax!

So... I guess I'm not officially a member of the Woopa family until I got my bike, but I need some TIPS from you guys before I can safely ride the bike on the road. I hope everyone here who have the experience to handle this bike can help me with what ever issues I have.

Like,

1. Running in & how much mileage I need to clock?

2. Engine oil and what type to use/change after running in?

3. Accessories, eg Pipe, Sliders, handle grips, brake & clutch lever, brake hose, etc etc...?

4. Do's & Dont's

This is my first bike I'm buying 1st hand. So help me out guys.. Looking forward for a meet up soon!! :)

welcome to the family..

i will try to ans yr queries to the best knowledge i have

1. There is 2 sch of theory. one is break in by dyno machine and the other is run in stated in owner manual.

Break in will be done by the mech using dyno machine. this will ensure that the piston ring to set in nicely by the use of Open Throttle method and excessive engine break.

the owner manual stated to run the engine per normal for 500km without sudden acc or heavy deacc..

2. Based on the owner manual, eo will be 0W30. but dun think will use that thin oil for SG city usage.

can try ipone eo as some bladers using now.

3. IMO, stock exhaust is the best. but of cos the looks and sound is not comparable with aftermkt ones. individual will give their own opinions reg which brand to choose.

Sliders wise have to drill holes on fairings to install it. there are some without drilling but dun noe how well its works.

Handle grips - no comments

Brake & clutch lever - can try ASV as some bladers are using.

Brake hose - there are diff hose brands in the mkt. some say that gd, this gd.. currently i using Goodridge ones.

4. Dos - Love yr Bike as if u love yr wife..

Don't - discard the bike and get another bike..

Yeah, it's normal for big cc sports bike, and it should drop to 80 plus on expressways without much traffic.
