Install box?

Ask you this. Should i wear boxers or briefs?

no right or wrong answer. same as your bike. your needs will vary.

you like your bike to look aerodynamic and all that, then feel free to leave your bike empty. take care of carrying stuff yourself though.

if you dont like to be enumbered by stuff while you are riding, then feel free to install your boxes. they come in various sizes for various needs. from the rediculously tiny givi micro2 to the massive maxia.

you may find loading your top rack to affect the handling of your bike as the center of gravity is pulled back. you can avoid this by install side boxes and load your heavy stuff in there. that way you can avoid the problem of your bike handling erratically when you vary your loads.

or to enjoy the best of both worlds, consider bags instead. saddle bags, seat bags, tank bags, etc etc. you need em, you pop them on. you dont, then its easy to remove.

any s4 riders with box ever tried going at speed above 130km/h? Will the box vibrate and cause the bike to be unstable?can still hit top speed (180km/h) with box?

i guess the box some how will be useful if on high speed, doesn't it act as a 'spoiler' pushing the bike down thus more stable, like racing cars.........

just to share that adding sideboxes plus wing rack need not bust ur budget......its jus a matter of looking and waiting for the right reasonable deal that is if u dont mind used stuffs....i bought my used wing rack for 100...the side boxes wic looks pretty new for 60 ...all from garage sales..my top box was e42l from my previous bike...so total is 160 bucks......the brackets i customize myself as i saw from the shop it looks pretty flimpsy n it extends the wing rack far from the side of e bike when installed so makin squeezing between vehicles more difficult....

i must admit that 150 quoted for a pair of brackets to two points on a bike from a shop wic installs wing racks is pretty expensive....so i made one which have 3 points wic anchors to the suspension point plus the 2 points in the bike along each side..and it is spaced just wide enough that the wing rack do not to touch the sides of of the bike..i also added a bar behind so that the brackets dont sag with time with constant heavy loads....n its pretty firm ....anyways im riding a PB1

to install on a super 4 jus the new wing rack alone plus brackets costs like $360 the last time i checked at 219 wic is like a yr ago...could be more expensive now...hope this helps ....

I ride at 70km/hr only...please please dont blow2 at me or overtake me dangerously....wait i change into Incredible Hulk n dont know why my little baby bike will always be ahead of u if u do that

I had the wingrack and exhaust lowered so the pillion will be comfortable. It'll also be easier to mount with 2 side boxes attached.

I see that your box above the end can is very near near to your end can. Won't the box hit the end can? Just curious
