Hahaha~!

I now itchy to convert to full-time panniers only using the Kappa K33 or the Givi V35 like the CB1300 Sepr Touring. Was thinking of letting my set-up go to make way for the countoured panniers. Anyone wanna offer me something I cannot resist? Will throw in a 1-to-1 swap of the lowered exhaust + my labour... (For Spec III only)

Bought the E36 cases for $80 a pair.

WingRack got it for $250. (Is the price correct Khai? Can't remember...)

Sent to SKMIC to lower my exhaust and custom fit back for $150.

Kev, my uncle busy till end of year...

haha...the cb1300 pics is really poisonous!....Boldor rider beware...

Yeah... I've been "poisoned" liao....

Faz, do be warned, it'll cost a bomb..

cos i'd queried:dot:

& the cost is :giddy: :faint:

Still pondering if were to jump ship & convert to the contoured boxes too... :lovestruck:

p.s. ok Faz, shall wait for yr beeps.

erm, tink is ok to break it dwn here bah,

kappa boxes - 550-580

Givi boxes - 680

SK customized rack + workmanship - approx 300 +/-(my own approx. quote, SK need to see if can fabricate to give confirm quote)

so, if kappa(tk maximum) box + rack = approx 880;

if Givi box + rack = 980

abv are base on verbal quotes & is not final price, does nt include 7% GST for the boxes yet.

customized rack shld consist of the contoured rack to fit the boxes, provided if they can fabricate the shape, & also the rear signal relocating brackets.

then for those who also may need a rear box, idea is to get a rear rack(any brand), new(is abt 80-90?), or 2nd hand(abt 50-80, depending on condition), as the original racks have not yet add on designs for a rear carrier.

so thats another 100(round up) to consider in?

& so, the whole setup would burn the pocket by abt 1K+/-?

I think might as well save up for H&B's?

well, its just imo.

yeah man... a pretty tidy sum. could get a 2nd hand bike for that price... LOL

this is what i found out to do a E41 set up:

E41N- matt black - SGD 580.00

N140 - wingrack with indicator- SGD 460.00

Y100- connector for wingrack -SGD 120.00

Y127- fitting kits for wingrack - SGD 220.00

Top case you can choose E55, E52, V46 , E50, E45NJ, B36N

GIVI E41 setup with out Top Case - S$ 1380 - estimated

This is for a H & B setup

The rack is $300

Junior 40L panniers, $900++

$180 to $200 to modify rack fitting at Seng Kwang.

H & B Setup with out top case - S$ 1400 - estimated

so it seems that the

E41 setup

VS

V35 setup

VS

H & B 40L Jr

are all about the same pricing?

Grounded... :/

Most probably is customised at Seng Kwang. In my opinion, it don't look strong and sturdy for full load. Unless just using a small box e.g. Givi E33 and below...

got a few questions..

1) is wingrack universal for all bikes?

2) how to check which box can fit as panniers on wingrack? i remembered givi website used to put..

3) is the baseplate locking mechanism of the maxia same as the e41?

i think its better for me to state my situation then you guys can advise me better.. currently riding s4 hyper vtec with e52 givi maxia. considering to buy a pair of e41 keyless and install on my bike with givi wingrack. sometimes will use the maxia only, sometimes use the e41 as side panniers sometimes would want to put 1 as a topbox (nvm the ugliness of it).

finally when/if i change bike, all these switches to the other bike.

is all this (economically) possible? what are the potential problems i face? no need to say got $$ what also can.. :D

bro,

1) the rack is universal, just that the fitting kits(brackets) are not;

2) eh, givi panniers frm E21, E360, E36, E45 & E41

3) locking mechanism for wingrack are all monokey, which means, same across for monokey family. Anything frm monolock, would be different.

as spoken before, for yr model, have to use mounting points frm, suspension, below @ the bungee cord hook there & across rear no. plate.

tk note of the weak point @ the bungee cord hook there, or if possible, add another point, going over the tailboard instead.

due to restriction of mounting point, advise not to have to much of a heavy load. otherwise if touchwood, if the point @ the cord hook there breaks, no amount of repair welding can help.

oh, & there's no fitting kits for any S4 family.

Best is, you know, so SK to fabricate the mounting brackets/bars/extensions. :thyumb:

Hope it helps..

hey bro

so from my quick research in givi usa website, the e41 keyless and e52 maxia are both monokey.. using my current baseplate which fits the e52, i am able to put 1x e41 on top if i decide to remove my e52 maxia..

time to look for these stuffs..

So the E45 baseplate fits e52 box? damn.. I thought e52 uses a special base plate. wasted man. When I asked the shops, nobody can confirm the e45 baseplate can fit e52 so in the end bought a Concase as it came with the box and baseplate..

i am not too sure about that.. maybe for the e45 (the squarish box) definitely not e42 givi simply...

eh, can put, bt, w/o the contact point for the brake light, as it'll block the front catch.

but why use the E41 as a top box?

looks damn fugly to me, cos i did it before... :p

go to http://www.givi.it, change the language to english for better understanding.

huh?

if you mean the old E45, squarish one,

http://www.twistedthrottle.com/ezimagecatalogue/catalogue/variations/2852-425x350.jpg

it can fit, but if u mean the new E450 simply,

http://www.scooterluggage.com/images/e450.jpg

then no, cos its a Monolock series. The mount/catch point is different for the both mounting series.
