The alloy/metal one is ard $45-$60 if I'm not wrong from Ah Boy. The nylon/plastic ones not so sure.

might be a little hard to get the metal ones already.. my friend went to ah boy and ask recently.. they say no more, rather than '2 weeks stock arrive'.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

Hunting for GIVI boxes for my ride...

Wide Ass Project! :)

Any lobang...any one?

Thanks in advance...

woots..

the old school E35 & 45 could be hard to find.

dont think new ones can be found off shelve, unless back ordering?

unless you dont mind 2nd hand, pending if anyone has them for sale too.

E21s should be readily found, just that of price comparison only.

IMO, E55 seems a tad too bit already.

the E52 should be more than sufficient.

unless, you do have a huge amount of barangs² to carry around...

I did made enquiry with MAH & LAB with regards to these box'es that I seeking for... Well, if I could get it off fellow bikers and save a few bucks along the way....why not? :) Not eought $$ for Wide Ass Project lol!

Well, I have a very old MAXIA mounted and after a couple of trips.... I miss the luggage space / volume of my old ex- ST1100…

I’m upgrading my shocks too to handle the extra weight for this mini new project of mine, enabling me to have enough luggage space for my Up-Up north trip….

To Me....

Well.... 3 brands comes to mind....

a. Ohlins (Great shocks... but the price of the fully ajustable unit is ....:puke:)

b. Hyper Pro (Great Value for $$$ / compare to ohlins , comes with Front progress Springs...)

c. Bitubo... (Yet to seek priceing... and spec)

Well... I'm on the orginal Showa shocks now.. Have since rebuild a couple of months back, riding 1 up is fine, however I could't say the same for 2up... the rebound is rubbish!

The orignal Showa shocks simply won't be able to handle 2 up riding + the weight of 2 extra pannies...

Have anyone here tried Hyper Pro kit? Care to comment?

Thanks!

Rebuild?

@ David's?

Cos to what Ive been reccomended, the guy will recharge the canisters, add a spacer on the springs and replace the lower bumper rubber with a better one.

& Ive been told it'll last longer.

Yet to pay him a visit thou.

As my rear's damn heavy & I tink they've overworked..

well, if you have the mula to invest, IMO, its Ohlins FTW.... :thumb:

Nt sure abt Hyper Pro's stuffs thou..

As for Bitubo.. hmm.. heard there'll be corrosion? :?

Stoner: Done up at Sportlink, it work wonderfully under 1up but as mention 2up is sh!t. Not because of a the rebuild process but the I just feel that the original Spring Rate and Rebound an't build for any pillion + storeage box in mind.

well, if you have the mula to invest, IMO, its Ohlins FTW.... :thumb:

Stoner: Hmmm... Some how, feel that the item is overpriced.

Stoner: Hai.... Worried about that too... .thus, still considering.

Hai.... same wave lenght mate!
