Went to UM just now..the mech adjusted the rack parallel the ground but once i left the place..the box is unlock again after hitting some humps...thinks its the locking mechanism instead of the base plate..any idea is it worth to replace the locking mechanism or replace with new box?...

If replace locking mechanism..anyone knows where to do it?

If replace new box...any suggestion which brand of box is similar or better?

Just to share. I was quoted from sgmotomart frm mo thread 1.2k including installation for givi v35 side hard cases. = )

For S4 Spec3? As far as I know, there is'nt any OEM Racking System for our bikes. Custom made yes...! But again, at $1.2k...Under custom made, you still got many $$$ as spare...

Hi Guys,

Just to check, currently there's only 1 type of rack for spec 3 tailboard right (those straight type following the tail board) ?

Is there a rack that goes straight then curve under the signal light ? ( Those rack like wat old spec 1 & 2 using? )

Yes, but just a minder, it'll take a mounting point at the bungee cord hook there, whereby its a weak point, thus may cause the rear tailframe to crack/break due to load stress from the box.

Hi Guys,

It's been months since I got my boldor and have been planning to have side panniers installed ever since. Missed the space I had compared with my old ride....ST1100.:p

With the help of our local forum mates & bike Shops owners, I've in recent days has manage to lay my hands on some 2nd Boxes.

With the help of a friend... managed to get the ball rolling...:thumb:

Here's some pictures to share with regards to my mini project... full tec-weld has yet to complete. :cheeky:

But the following pictures would give you a rough idea the sizes between the GIVI E21 & E45.

My local setup would be the GIVI E21, giving me a narrower cross section as to have better mobility in local roads.... :p and will switch over to the GIVI E45 for my overseas trips.:cheeky:

stoner: just some opinions, try to join another point, across the 2 side racks behind, to prevent wobbling of the boxes when riding.

can see its abit too behind & high.

things to note is that, @ high speeds, yr steering may feel light & wobble due to loads behind.

if possible, shift your rear signals out also, as the boxes may obscure the view when the signals are activated.

just my 0.02¢.
