Hi fellow members.

 

As the topic suggested.

We are planning a short trip across the border to celebrate our scooter anniversary this year.

 

As this is my 1st post...i do not have the full details yet, will furnish more and more information as time goes by.

Presently information as below...

 

Time : 14th June 2008 to 15th June 2008 (2nd Weekend of June)

 

The Venue : Penyaboong Enda Resort (est mileage 150km)

(will furnish photographs in subsequent postings, those who has them please help me put the pictures up, thanks)

 

- This is quite a well hidden resort, with a lot of nice scenic roads sprinkled with slight corners leading to it, not forgetting a lot of cow dungs too...

 

- Distance to it is not a wristbreaking distance, and not too short also, just nice for a little ride and not too stress for smaller cc bikes and scooters.

 

- it is a good opportunity for 1st-timers who are keen to take the rope to bike touring for the 1st few times and small bike riders whom always have a hard time finding tourmates of the same capacity.

TRIP OPENS TO ALL CLASSES OF SCOOTERS AND ALL CLASS 2B BIKES ONLY

$$$ : estimated RM80 per pax

This amount per pax will go to pay for the following:

1. Resort lodging (1 night)

2. BBQ

 

Payment can be conducted by either meeting me or by fund transfer

my account is

 

For convenience, Please use conversion rate : SG$1 = RM$2.255, after conversion of RM80 is SGD35.50

* the conversion rate should be quite friendly to you, i suffer the difference

 

Payment will to be collected very soon as we will be doing a booking on the resort as soon as we can, reason due to June is school holiday period.

 

We hope not to but payment amount might be subjected to change due to unforeseen circumstances

 

 

 

(* Please note the organisers will not be earning any incentive from the payments, all the amount is used entirely for the trip to cater for each and everyone)

 

Schedule and Itinerary

 

14th June 2008 (Saturday)

- 0900hrs - meet and gather at GP Esso

- 0915hrs - pre-ride briefing

- 0930hrs - move off

- 1130hrs - expected to reach Mersing town, Lunch (TBC venue)

- 1300hrs - move off from Mersing toward Penyaboong Endau

- 1500hrs - expected to reach destination

- Check in, bath, snore, swim, OTOT etc

- 1800hrs - get ready BBQ

- OTOT drink, eat, merry

- 2300hrs - mini jungle trial to beach (bring your own torchlight! and you will love the stars, provided its a clear sky)

- est 0100hrs - go back hotel, lights off, otherwise, OTOT

 

15th June 2008 (Sunday)

- 1030am move off, back to Singapore.

Closing date for entries is tentatively set at 30th April, will consider to reopen only if the resort has extra rooms.

 

1st come 1st serve basis, riders only lock in their places when payment is done.

Note : if you've got a pillion coming along, kindly insert your pillion at the next number.

 

I think the organising people best insert the pillion that's good to go, easier for us to know the exact figures.

 

e.g. 9. Vivien - Bigcow pillion (this one sure to go )

 

Please prep enough money for your petrol and other miscellaneous cost that you might incur yourself. Distance of 150km(approx) is one way so take that as a guide to your petrol needs. Engine oil and 2T, take note of that as well.

 

Attire : Strictly - jacket, jeans/pants, boots/shoes, gloves, helmet(at least an open face, no half caps)

Hi,

 

What is the advised speed for this trip? My bike is an old man, cannot run.

 

no worries with the speed as its open to class 2B & newbies too.

 

should be around 100 - 120km/h.

very comfortable speed.

 

and the sweeper can go slower than any 2B bikes.
